Here is as list of things that should not have ever been allowed into this game in the first place. I don't care if people know what something is supposed to mean, it's 100% incorrect to have something mean a completely different thing than what it actually says, as well as outright being false, and not even being explained at all.

I'm really sick to death of gamers using the phrase figure it out. BULLSHIT! Say WTF has to be done and how and quit being stupid. This is about devs using everyday common sense, rational thinking, and remaining consistant. If your boss says go get me a red pen, then you bring him/her a red pen. You don't come back with a lead necklace and then argue that it can still be used to write with because of the lead in it, and tell your boss he/she is arguing semantics and say they're a moron and that they're the only one having a problem with what you brought them. Everyone else figured out how to write with the necklace. And they can look it up on youtube, or use Google.

But that's the exact situation gamers say, do, and pull, when it comes to topics like this.

1. No NPC makes anything, so all dialog that states they do, (Quests, journal entries..etc.) need to be changed. If both the blacksmith and the journal says he makes armor, then he, better damn well make it. None of thid He makes it through the table crap. You do all the work not him, so it needs to say GO TO THE TABLE, and then show you how wIII the one example.

2. Quests that can be done by buying something from a vendor, need to have the actual name of the merchant instead of a place that does not exist. For example, there is no bookseller in VAL ROYEAUX, yet a quest says there is. On top of that there is supposed to be a sign outside the shop that says "BOOKSELLER". If the quest mentions bookseller, then have a bookseller.

3. There is a craft/modify armor, craft/modify weapons table, but only an equip/upgrade potions table, but no craft potion table! WTF how inconsistent can this game get.

4. The war table has no damn mission trigger instructions. I don't give a damn what tooltips were given on previous screens. Do not tell a player to do a scouting operation without showing them how. Instructions for something should only show up and belong on the screen whatever is supposed to be done on that screen and at that time.

5. Don't tell players to enchant an item when there is no enchant table, nor is there any option on any current table, or in anyone's dialog, that says enchant item. And do not use another term or word to mean enchant either. If it says enchant, then either put an enchanting table into the game, or at least use that exact word in a current table or dialog instead of screwing around with this inconsistent, and useless wording that doesn't make any sense, and do not fit into the game, then have the gall to say someone is dumb for not understanding how to do something in this cluster screw of incomprehendible nonsense, written by someone that has almost no grammatical understanding, that so called educated people actually think there is nothing wrong with it, because it can be looked up or supposedly figured out.

Oh there are many more broken things, but this is enough for now.

There is, though. I expect you to call me a liar and a clown and all the usual things, but there's a store that sells books of schematics and lore in Val Royeaux.

There's no direct evidence of who actually makes the items. Your complaint relies on assumptions you have made, but needn't have. Don't do that, and the game will stop annoying you in this way.

Why? I mean, there is a bookseller in Val Royeaux. The quest doesn't tell you the wrong name of tge vendor; it simply doesn't provide a name at all.

Now, I found this quest irritating as well, because the area maps in the game blow, so finding a path to a vendor to find out what sort of vendor it is isn't straightforward. I'll agree the process of finding the vendor isn't good (just label the map like Skyrim, or better, let us ask NPCs where stuff is), but there's no reason why the specific complaint you're making applies.

Your enchantment and war table complaints are sound, however. I agree with you on those.

Potions are mechanically very different from equippable gear, so I think it would be more confusing if they used identical terminology.

But the game overall needs more documentation, particularly of the UI.

Whose yelling? And you are a liar because schematics and lore are not books.
Lore are codex's while schematics are weapons and armor.

Books, schematics, and codex's, are three completely different things and you know it.

When you need explicit directions on how a mouse cursor interacts with the in-game menus, your issues might be a little too fundamental for a patch to do any good.
