They are quite silly IMO. They have a hand blast that seems slightly weaker than the nemesis's much bigger and slower rifle, they have strong barriers and seem to be able to negate 90% of damage dealt to them by doing a flip, they are immune to grabbing from cover, they are fast as hell, they can't be frozen by cryoblast, they have the fastest instakill, can turn invisible and look like stupid cyborg ninjas running around with swords instead of omniblades.

Why does Cerberus even bother with anything else when their phantoms are so damn good?

Anyways what is the best shot gun to kill them with?

The Reegar melts them quickly, but the Reegar melts everything quickly and anyway doesn't count because it's a scrubgun.

 

The GPS staggerlocks phantoms, even at long range, which is useful for melee-oriented characters.

Venom will bounce her off the walls, though lag can sometimes cause it to shoot blanks. Phantoms on the other hand never shoot blanks.

The Geth shotgun as mentioned above and the Graal are excellent choices.

I just finished a match with the javelin and disruptor ammo. That was quite satisfying.

which is why they are worth as much as an atlas. Fair deal if you ask me (considering many things destroy her)

Best shotgun against them? Venom, hands down. 

 

All those fancy flips, DR - nothing matters. Just shoot anywhere on the ground close to her and watch her go flying. 

 

A better alternative is to never play cerberus, which has worked wonders for me whenever I follwed the rule.

Venom, GPS, Graal, Kishock (as a shotgun) are all very effective against Phantoms.  Of course, you get the most style points with the Claymore.  Bonus points if you Lash them and get a headshot.  Skeet shooting!  Ahh skeet skeet skeet!

Anyone biotic has a very efficient way to kill phantoms.... My personal favorite is dark channel and detonate if possible, if not just run and let them die

Basically, phantoms are what keep infiltrators and engineers from dominating multiplayer..... They are also the only reason people ever bother using biotics against cerberus...
