So I hate phantoms

They are quite silly IMO. They have a hand blast that seems slightly weaker than the nemesis's much bigger and slower rifle, they have strong barriers and seem to be able to negate 90% of damage dealt to them by doing a flip, they are immune to grabbing from cover, they are fast as hell, they can't be frozen by cryoblast, they have the fastest instakill, can turn invisible and look like stupid cyborg ninjas running around with swords instead of omniblades.

Why does Cerberus even bother with anything else when their phantoms are so damn good?

Anyways what is the best shot gun to kill them with?

Don't forget the spawn behind and auto sync despite not priming complaint.

 

Back on topic: Lord claymore, venom, graal, reegar, and geth plasma shotgun are all excellent at taking a phantom down. Though I much prefer stasis, submission net, or flamer to deal with them. Shadow strike is fun but risky if the game decides to pull the oh wait a herp derp trooper magically blocks your path/takes the lock-on. When in doubt though...Javelin. A javelin to the face is still a javelin to face just let her flip first to negate the DR or force her to pop her anti-power barrier for a sitting duck

There are so many weapons and powers that are effective against Phantoms, it's your own damn fault if you end up in a Cerberus game with no way to kill Phantoms quickly.

the fact that my quarians sometimes have to carry that unsightly stripper or lizard pistol on their left hip just because of the 1/4 chance that I roll Cerberus is reason enough to hate fantums.

Use the Adas. It turns Phantoms into helpless victims.

Problem is it is too heavy to work well on every setup like the lolcolyte and Scorpion

If only ULM took away 50-90% of its weight.

Basically, phantoms are what keep infiltrators and engineers from dominating multiplayer..... They are also the only reason people ever bother using biotics against cerberus...

I like biotics a lot so I use them on every faction except collectors if I can avoid them

You are probably the only person in the entire Mass Effect universe that hates Phantoms.

 

yes, phantoms should be appreciated....at least when they kill you your last moments are of that TIGHT little booty pressed right..........

When it comes to phantoms, Dark Channel > Stasis.

Try telling that to the people I have saved with stasis who are about to get stabbed, dark channel can't do that

^ His animation is going to be overriden by Phantoms, even if he started it half a second sooner than her, then he will get double staggered by the Phantoms melee, preventing him to dodge after the first hit. And then he's gonna get sync-killed.

I found the venom absolutely wrecks phantoms. However, a decent substitute is the Geth Plasma Shotty which can stagger on hit, but takes better aim to actually kill them with it.

I'm not the first to say it, but a Claymore to the face at point blank range is by far the most satisfying.

 

Stasis followed by double tap with the Suppressor is pretty good.

 

Double Shadow Strike never gets old.

 

Kishock Boinnng is fantastic. Venom too, but Kishock requires a small degree of finesse, which gives me more satisfaction.

 

Lastly, a Scorpion as secondary on a Destroyer can end up being more fun than the Typhoon you were expecting to be dakking with, if you happen to roll Cerberus.

Yeah....i run my Destroyer specifically with a Typhoon AND Scorpion to deal with phantoms. It's very effective on multiple phantoms as well...just aim it on the ground near the area they are approaching and light them up. Even if they turn invisible, just fire into the general area they are flipping or disappearing into and they will still take on heavy damage.

 

The best is when they try to put that bubble shield up....The Scorpion is like "NOPE"....you can stick like 3 Scorpion nodes on that bubble and watch her explode.... :lol:
