I'll run through it after work and see what they've done.
Ah well it'll give me something to do until PoE drops.

Well, here we go. First time I don't auto-purchase DLC from Bioware. In fact, I will probably not even purchase it at all, given that my desire to replay DA:I is in the significant negatives.
Hopefully others feel like this too, so that the dissatisfaction with the way biowEAr has chosen will finally make it onto the desks of the people in charge, since apparently spending days upon days on writing more or less constructive criticism simply ends up feeding the paper shredders.

well lets face it, this is not the bioware we all loved from even 5 years ago. they all left, and have been developing sword coast legends. something I will probably auto buy judging by the video I am watching now. its basically Baldur's Gate 2.5 with an up to date D&D rule book and the ability to be a dungeon master in multiplayer.

The newest edition (and the previous one) is pretty dumbed down, though. The Forgotten Realms have been pretty much ruined as well. Don't get your hopes up for that one.

Never bought 4th edition but 5th seems OK. And if its not crunchy enough for you there's always Hackmaster!

More concerned with the fact that they ruined the FR setting so badly Ed Greenwood, the creator, has now joined up with fans to try and fix it. It seems trying to turn the forgotten realms int WoW wasn't a good choice.

Just to help people make an informed decision about purchasing this DLC, here is an impression from someone who's already completed it...
Seems Bioware is slow to learn...
Yea after I played it ,and fished it today ,I will agree not worth it sadly
So much was lacking in the dlc ,it was kinda of a let down :/ .

The trailer looks epic and I am sure I will play this game eventually BUT I wanted to know Solas' fate and the only reason I'd buy this DLC is if there would be more companion cut-scenes and interactions. Appearantly that's not in this DLC, which means that I wait for this to further drop in price before I'd consider buying it. I am honestly a bit dissapointed.

I don't fully comprehend here if you are working on SCL or not? I just yesterday checked the game's homepage ... and here comes the question ...
"Will there ever be a Mac-version of the game ???"
(I will not bloody go back to Win7 or Win10, man - "No-can-do-sir"!)

Does Bioware even know why people buy their games anymore? They're not known for their gameplay or graphic or anything like that but story driven game and engaging characters. They're taking all of that away and giving us a fetch DLC. That's not what people are asking for, and they should have known that. The main game is short enough as it is, we need more contents, not more fetch quests. I'm very disappointed with this release, and I'm usually a very staunch defender of Bioware. It seems like Dragon Age series has lost what make it special. Fetch quests are essentially filler content, it shouldn't be the main content of the entire DLC or the entire game. Games like Skyrim works because it's an open world game with many possibilities for modding. If I want a skyrim game, I'll buy a Skyrim game in which I can mod the hell out of it unlike Dragon Age Inquisition. I paid for a story and character driven game.

I'm going to be a voice of dissent. I liked it and feel it WAS worth the money. Played 10 hours of it solid. And will likely put another 40 odd hours into it through other playthroughs.
It is not filled with fetch quests AND it has a good story, with some interesting implications. Also fun sidequests and a fair bit of humor. Not to mention a good helping of Lace Harding.
But you guys here just love to be pessimists and tear the game apart for little things. Calling it unplayable etc etc, my over 300 hours says otherwise to me.

To most of us, treating inquisition like a new IP with nothing in common with the old games and only a sliver of story in comparison truly sucks.
If bioware wasted a new IP, they should have just made one, and not lied to us about it being a dragon age game.
DAI is to dragon age as Mario tennis is to super Mario 3.
If I sound pissed and frustrated, I am.

I don't really see, how "omg it's so terrible, lets pretend it's not related to the other two" (which by the way the same thing was said about DA2) holds up.
Yes I have played the other 2 (and all DLC, more hours than I care to admit to) I felt like each story was different and had it's own strengths and weaknesses.
But I can see that you're not happy with Inquisition and anything that I say won't actually convince you of anything as you've got a pretty well cemented opinion of the whole thing.

Incredible. I thought BioWare knows the DA:I problems, but they did the same again. Why BioWare, why?
Because they earn more money. And that's not a problem for them.

And as it turns out, people are reporting that the Avvar are about as interesting as cardboard cut-outs.
Bioware has truly lost their ability to write content anywhere near interesting or creative.
Clearly, this stuff is nowhere near comparable to DAO...the writing talent just don't seem to be there any more.
Instead, Bioware devs are interviewed, boasting about the number of dialogue lines ALL THE BLOODY TIME....as if that is any indication whatsoever of the quality of those lines?
It is quite hilarious how obvious and transparent it is becoming that any kind of creativity is GONE from the Bioware writing team.
DAI is one of the best looking games I have ever played. Also the most boring.
At least they are enforcing the fact that I am making the right choice to leave this franchise behind, together with EA and Bioware. Just such a damn shame they went down like this in my mind.

Yeah I want story content, not more of the plentiful horrible grind and fetch.
My initial reaction is frustration that they haven't reacted to what seems to have been a understandable and very common feedback.

Have read that the only 'fetch' stuff is twelve more Shards are included if one chooses to collect them. As I have only collected enough to open two doors, these will likely be left as is unless another PC desires more, then this gives an option to skip others.
Another area sounds good to me.
