See and here's the thing about the timed DLC exclusive--I would have bought this right out the gates, despite the price tag, to see what it was all about. Unfortunately, I'm on PS4 and gated from spending money on this product (???) and after now having read all of these reviews (especially the scathing review on Reddit), I pretty much will not be impulse purchasing--or purchasing at all!--this DLC.
So now I'm both sore from being told I'm not allowed to purchase something because of the console I chose AND sore because what I would have purchased is apparently a dud anyway. This whole DLC release was a bit of a mess, between that stuff, the weird 'when will it be released' stuff, the no trailer but there will be? thing. Like...??
Jaws of Hakkon is overpriced and not worth buying

I'm hoping there will be a sale by the time it is available for the PS4. If there is, I might buy it at that time, but until then I'm just going to have to look out for more reviews.

This is Bioware, once again, releasing cut content that should have been in the game but it got rushed out the door and now they're now charging for it. As usual I'm actually more mad at EA because this is their decision, there's no doubt.
Didn't Bioware also say in one of them patch notes that they wanted to "get in cut content that didn't make it into the game for free"? I seem to recall that.

I think I'll wait on a price drop or bundle. I don't think 3-5 hours of average to above average content is worth 15$. Especially since it seems to be self contained "side content". It hasn't looked that impressive from watching the streams. I mean I wouldn't pay 15$ for access to Emprise Du Lion or Hissing Wastes, so I don't think I should do it for this DLC either since the story is mostly self contained from what I've seen/read.

Inquisition didn't get rushed. It was given over a year in delays. In any case, there's nothing wrong with releasing cut content as DLC.

They said they'd be releasing features that were cut, yes. Stuff like armor tinting, for example. Not stuff like DLC-size content.

The two streamers I watched both finished it around 4 - 4:30 hour mark they said. I think a BioWare QA guy said 4-7 depending on your speed. I play through content faster then most tho, so will probably be 3-5 for me.

I don't really get why this should make it any worse.

I mean it isn't, but DA:I has plenty of that stuff already in the game. If you want more chocolate icing on your triple chocolate icing cake go for it. I personally have more than enough chocolate icing in the regular DA:I game lol.

Precisely. anyone who has seen my comments know I love Inquisition but just, for the price, it would have to be either really long for me or really unique. The ME DLCs usually did do a new and good job on this prciding interesting gameplay sections not provided in the main game...not more of the same. I wanted something tighter.
Not saying I won't get it, and I probably will, but now I have a lot more reservations then I did. Which is a shame because the Avarr angle could have really been fascinating.

Lol, fair enough. I get it though that people have been clamoring for some bridging content of some sort, and tying up some loose ends, one in particular. I guess I should be glad then that my second class citizen status in the Playstation camp comes with at least one advantage: being blocked from spending money for maybe a month or more.

Isn't it a good thing that the meh DLC is the timed exclusive though
Haven't played it yet, but it's true that it does sound a bit overpriced- it's not much in the first place but I could add 5$ to that and get Soul Sacrifice Delta or Oreshika Tainted Bloodlines.
Anyway since it's not as good as people believe (even though I'm skeptical) I'll just youtube it for the time being.

I'll buy it for the simple fact he/she said citadel dlc was flawless when in my own opinion it was a piece of rubbish, so going by that logic this dlc will be great for me

The best of the ME DLC's are some top-notch stuff that's really hard to beat. I feel that the bar they set is pretty high.

Beats me, but the one I'm thinking about in particular is Solas, though I suspect that this is going to be next game material.

Well and same applies to the DA DLC. Awakening was just awesome on a stick and felt different (and better) then Origins. Both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin were welcome changes of pace in the world of Kirkwal and provided some really awesome moments in terms of gameplay and story. 3 of the hardest decisions I have ever faced in BioWare games were in their DLC.

A good hat cost well over $100. $15 is barely two meals at McDonald's. Look at it this way... Let's be generous and say $15 will get you two tickets to back to back Saturday matinees at the local movie theatre. So that's three to four hours of entertainment. So as long as this DLC gives you at least three to four hours of entertainment, you're getting your money's worth, and I'm willing to bet it's going to be longer than that. Plus, replay length. Several Inkys and you're looking at probably 25+ hours, so now we're down to well under $1/hour of entertainment. That's a helluva bargain.
People: "We want more content in game!"
BW gives them DLC for that for cheap price...people still whine.
