as I do not mind being spoiled concerning the visual looks of loot, I figured I would make a thread where people who are lucky enough to play the dlc can post the looks of the new loot for the interested party. 
No Story spoilers though.

There's only one new model for armor. I tinted it, but it looks like this (I also have the one new staff model on my back, it's not modifiable):

I don't have all the weapon schematics (Most of the new models are in the last dungeon, and I somehow missed two despite trying to be very thorough). I don't have screenshots of the other two weapon schematics I missed, but they are mostly similar in style to the staff. The staff's stats are pretty bad.

I'm also curious to see if there is any good looking armor + helmets in the DLC. I just bought it and if I am to be disappointed (as I am very vain when it comes to appearance) I'd like to know right away

Yes. Not the helm, but there is a new Vitaar for Qunari: Vitaar of the Dragon Hunter. But I don't care for the look.

For the schematic you need to talk to the researcher again at the main base camp after you complete the main DLC questline. Then you'll get a new War Table operation call "Assuage Ameridan's Heirs" or something to that effect. Complete this operation and you'll recieve all 3 light/medium/heavy variant schematics which all look the same.

 

The helmet however..I don't know if you get that as a schematic. I didn't.

Ok thank you... it works. I wasnt sure that the researcher would give me a operation, however now i have the schematics for the armor and i´m happy.

hmm not bad but i still want some full plate heavy armour. especially some metal greaves and not the boots and less leather and more metal on the upper body  lol.

 

Something like the legion of the dead armour but for humans/elves...

You have to do the mission called "The Nox Morta", and the helmet is loot of the "Nox Morta". http://dragonage.wik...i/The_Nox_Morta

Can't remember all of them, but these are the ones I do.

 

The 5 "Hakkon's ___" weapons are found in Veilfire runes in one of the last story missions, even if you miss one you can just go back later to get it (I missed the bow first time round)

 

The "Refined ___ Mail" drop from rifts, fixed drops so no need to pray to RNG

 

The "Refined ___ Coats" are sold in Stone Bear Hold.

Also In Stone Bear Hold are the companion specific helmets (like Cole's hat and Orlesian Hennin), Battlemage Cowl and Helm of the Inquisitor, and the Masterwork Winged Longbow, Kirkwall Mace, Heavy Axe and Brute Hammer.

 

The Duke's mane helmet was from choosing Cullen for a War Table mission concerning a special recruit.

 

Masterwork enchanter staff I found on a corpse in the caves on the riverbed in the top left area of the map. (there's several corpses together, one of them has the schematic)

 

The dragon hunter schematics as already stated, come from the Assuage Ameridan's Heirs operation.

 

That's all I remember, I know the grey warden shield was the first thing I found, but I didn't make a note of where, the jagged battleaxe I just don't remember.

 

Also today i found an Easter Egg, not really spoliery but I'll put it in tags anyway.

^ Do you know where or how to obtain the Refined ______ Armor schematics? The wiki claims the weapons & armor merchant at Stone-Bear sells them but they are not there.

I've not seen any Refined Armor schematics, only Coat and Mail variants.

That must be a glitch or oversight because the main game evenly distributes coat, mail, and armor schematics across light, medium, and heavy classes.

Possibly. Could also be that they're saving them for a future update/DLC/Black Emporium

This is just a wild theory, but I noticed The Short List perk has no effect on any of the Stone-Bear merchants. Maybe it was supposed to and that's how we would obtain those Refined Armor schematics?

Masterwork Brute Hammer is a Maul, but uses an axe model for some reason.
