Unfortunately, disabling the Origin overlay didn´t work, at least for me.  :(

Well I'm having an issue most during cutscenes and dialogues, the game simple goes to the desktop and I'm not able to come back to the game anymore...So I have to restart the game, that's very inconvenient...I hope Bioware is aware of this issues,in patch supposed improve stability is really annoying that this kind of thing is still happening...

Same issue confirmed with Driver 347.88 with a dual Titan SLI setup.

According to the dialogue "The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application." Indicating problems between the new driver 347.88 and Bioware's very poor graphics handling.

According to some on the Nvidia GeForce forum who have experienced this issue, the simplest solution is to roll your drivers back to the previous version, 347.52 this seems to address the issue. I have not confirmed this yet since I have only just performed the re-install of the older driver, but I will post back after I have tried the game for a few hours successfully.

I haven't updated my game yet, but I would like to add that folks using screenshotting tools such as Simple Runtime Window Editor (SRWE) are now having issues after the update. Folks that had no problem using SRWE with DA:I previously are now unable to. Nobody can seem to figure out what changed about DA:I. Rolling back to Patch 5 doesn't even fix the issue.

I'm willing to believe all these issues cropping up now.

I'm on driver 347.52 (GTX 780ti) and Patch 5 and the game runs like a rock for me. I won't be updating any time soon.

Confirmed, there is a problem between DAI and the NVidia 347.88 driver. However there are also other stability problems affecting the game. Like how during the final battle against Hakkon in the Jaws of Hakkon DLC the game fails within 5-10 minutes every time so its impossible to complete.

How does it fail? within 5-10 minutes of the battle starting the game will momentarily freeze then dump you straight to the desktop. I have a wonderful video that I am now uploading of the issue, I have named it 'The Incrashition' I will post it here later.

My Dragon Age crash video that I made last night. There are links in the video's description to get to the crash points.

Yep, the crashbugs are very annoying. I would not be so concerned about them if it weren't for the fact that Bioware are known for producing buggy games and then leaving those bugs in the game. Anyone who has played Mass Effect 2 and 3 on PC can attest to the constant clipping problems in the cockpit in those games, amongst other issues that have not been fixed. It's sad too, Bioware started on PC...

Dude I played on xbone and my game crashed a sh*t load among a sh*t load of bugs so I returned it, it was the first time I have returned a BW game, I only rent it now after every patch and that's getting annoying because there is new bugs with every patch.
I feel bad for PC gamers cause this was suppose to be made for them and it wasn't, I feel bad for ps360 gamers cause BW made this game for last gen promising it would play fine but it don't (kinda sh*ty BW threw them under the bus)
Overall imo this game is a wreck and BW has failed

Hi everyone. The new NVIDIA 350.12 drivers seem to have solved my problems. Played for 40 minutes with lots of cutscenes and different savegames with no issues.

I'm still on 347.52 and the game still runs solid for me, even after updating to Patch 6.

Me too, not even playing Trespasser yet (I DO have it installed) and even with vanilla patch 10, I get crash to desktop with every single battle. I am thinking maybe it is the ability toggle upgrades. I only have the two item packs and trespasser for DLC, no jaws or descent.

I have repaired the game twice (did not work, still crash to desktop every five minutes) and right now I am updating DAI after deleting patch 10 from updates.

I ran defrag on my system yesterday.

I had the same problem (Crashes on desktop) and solved it like this. This is only how I solved it, don't blame me if it don't work for you:

- I have a AMD Grafic-Card. At options I could select DirectX or Mantle. Everybody told me to take Mantle, it would be better for my AMD. It wasn't! Till I put it back to DirectX it's mutch better.

- I Download the AMD Gaming Evolved. Everybody told me NOT to take it and NOT to use it. I have done it. And till I made my grafic options with the AMD Gaming Evolved to "Normal" (Button in the middle) it works.

- Before I made a Format C the EA support told me to rightclick at "Origins" and than to say that I want to start Origins as Administrator. Ignore the message witch pop-up after this. Start the game as normal.

After this three points my game worked great. After the Format C I even don't need the "Administrator" in Origins anymore.

Good luck!

l also have AMD graphics card. Not the best, but I normally can run the game on high textures and ultra meshes. Without any crashes what so ever.

I'll check my settings, but I did not change anything before the crashes started except getting Trespasser and patch 10.

I do have AMD newest drivers. I'll do some playing tonight and see what I can do to fix this. Thank you so much for the help :)
