Thoughts about this weekends challenge...

First of all:

Loved it

Second of all:

I did not complete all of them due to certain weapon and playstyles that I relly dislike playing...

I relly find it awsome that you can invest more and more time and actually help the community in the progress. That way it keeps everyone sticked on the overall objective.

Sure you get a personal bonus everytime you finish one of them, and sure you get like double up... But guys this is an event worth actually participating in.. I relly would love if DAI team would get more like this kinds of events running.

These are mostly ideas that does not effect the general gameplay, but just kinda makes you go: Hell I want to fight for this! That said, there should be a penalty for failing :P

Not only multible chests but more like boons of war kinda thing.:

Somthing like:

On success:

Chests cost 20-50% less for a certain mount of time

Increased rarity drop rate for a certain time

Increased XP gain for a certain amount of time

Increased loot from loot chambers

From failing you can put everything from above in negative as well...

I have an idea that most people would disagree with a lot of these things due to balancing, income, time on hand and professional gamer pride. But then again, one time a week... What if you could gain more and more, for the increased amount of work that you do for the community as a total...

This is just me loving the last event.

Thanks for reading, and hope that I did not offend anyone :)

Meh. We've done weapon challenges already. At least we had a better chance of getting something decent out of the weekend.

Thoughts about this weekends challenge...

Bioware ran out of ideas.

ME3 never repeated a challenge before, and this time they didn't even bother to change the name of each Mastery, to avoid duplicity.

Why not have an entire map of those ice witch demons? Or an entire map of the OHK Templar assassins? Lol.

Almost as rage inducing as Druffalo (which aren't actually that rage inducing alone if you know how to play them right).

Well they kinda did the kill a lot of (insert unit here) and expect that to be a challenge...

That said we actually failed one of thosev as far as I remember....

Furthermore Bioware do not run out of ideas.. All they have to do is like ME thory crafting or DA thory crafting on google to come up with a suitble story that makes you kinda save a SP character and tehn make it die,,, (sorry I am too dumb to make a story line)

besides that Ikinda think they got it all planned...

10 chests.  10.  And other than the fact that I finally got to take the veil, nothing.  I'm happy that I got Fury of the Veil.  It's just that with 10 chests and a purportedly higher chance of dropping rares my expectations were high.

I liked the event better than the previous ones because it had you do more stuff.

Kill 6 Druffalos, that's 6 games.

Weapons challenge, for me most of the weapons took 2 solo runs while with few lower quality weapons I did 5 runs at best. Lots more to play.

There is only one way to play druffalo right. Kneel and kiss the fade.

First time we'd done 10 challenges at once.

These also had the same numbers from back when they were originally released (so we thought people wouldnt do them all, ha! we were wrong).

We also promised we would be re-running these challenges due to the inability to complete a few during the holiday due to network attacks.

------------

Grats to everyone who did them all, i didn't expect that.

Yes but:

If at least the weekend event was called: "Weekend Weapon Kill Madness" or something like that, grouping all the weapons kill in the same challenge, so we don't have the duplicity on list. Also we would know that all that was part of the same weekend challenge and not a separated one.

Peace!

One of those chests got me HoK, the more free chests there are the more likely we all finish it.

I thought it would be more of a "complete the ones you are interested in".

Example "I just promoted my assassin so i'll get the dagger chest, and staff chest cause I'll play a few matches with my friends later as a keeper"

It's interesting to see the telemetry after each challenge to see what happened. :)

Can't speak for how others did it but I just did 9 routine solos in a row. It pays off to save old weapons. At this point most of the challenges I have left are 250 completions with classes (which may never happen since I play all of them somewhat equally) the perilous/routine 250 completions and collecting gold. When I get a chance to knock out a bunch of attainable ones I will go for it.

I like having more challenges. I like having the opportunity for more commendation chests as well. Keep the challenges coming.

Doing 10 challenges kept me playing 10 times longer this weekend than I did when the previous weekend had only 1 challenge.

Except the druffalo challenge. I played the f'in hell out if that challenge.

Don't take that as a reason to do a giant challenge though, I'm not a masochist >.<

Druffalo seriously owns the Giant all day. A giant isn't wiping any parties....not without rocks.

This challenge gave me an opportunity to play the Reaver and Templar on perilous. It was a lot of fun.

If 'zeal' means:

  • Grumbles about the challenges
  • Still does them all  :P

I think, yes  :)

Haven't yet missed a personal challenge as I was lucky enough to be able to work around the Xmas hack.

That's not to say I'm not hoping for some rumoured additional stuff SoonTM...  ;)

Honestly, the biggest driving factor to do all of them was to get 10 chests. Its faster than getting gold for 10 chests and its nice to actually get such a hefty reward for minimal hoop-jumping. I liked that at the end I didnt have just one chest to open but several.

It might be cool to have an event where you have multiple tiers of challenges. With the highest one being really high so it would entice people to play longer than just enough to clear the challenge then stop. And it would allow people wishing to play casual to at least get some reward.

Like:

Quell the venatori-

Kill 500 venatori - get a chest

Kill 1000 venatori - get a chest

Kill 5000 venatori - get a chest

Quell the Demons-

Kill 500 Demons- get a chest

Kill 1000 Demons- get a chest

Kill 5000 Demons- get a chest

Quell the Red Templars-

Kill 500 Red Templars- get a chest

Kill 1000 Red Templars- get a chest

Kill 5000 Red Templars- get a chest

Hardcore goal - Kill 30000 enemies - 3 chests (or some other uber reward)

Ofc use telemetry data to determine the thresholds rather than my made up numbers.

150+ kills in a routine solo match now. To kill 30000 someone would need to play 200 games between friday and sunday :)

But I like the idea. I want that uber Caliban... or the uber Sulevin... or the double uber Red Birth... etc

Maybe they add some new chests to the DLC too if we're lucky...or they let us choose a weapon for 9 challenges..

Yeah, I got one decent (but not great)item and a whole bunch of Salvage. Waste of time.
