Sometimes, I genuinely think that the people who make these complaint threads are actually, legitimately challenged and don't know what they're saying. the entire premise for this complaint is stupid and nonsensical. It cannot possibly be Bioware's fault, because they're not the ones who make the decision about what platform gets timed exclusives.

Ok you are right. It's EA doing this.

EA owns BW

The transitive property would tell you that if EA is doing this and EA is owning BW then also BW is doing this. It seems you are missing basic logic.

this is nothing to do with ea access. Its timed dlc it happened last gen before ea access even existed? God stop trying to start the hole console war thing, its over anyway
Ps4............20.2million sold
Xbone .......10 million (shipped)

Seems like that's what you are doing to me.

but is this not the right place to complain about this? Or am I missing something. Don't ea own bioware? Should I go on the battlefield forum and complain there? Shut up mate :(

I loved this game and been waiting for some dlc why oh earth is this not coming out for ps4? If it is coming when? Ive been a bioware fan for years but because I bought a ps4 I have to wait ? Bullshit I'm done now I will move over to bloodborne instead
Extremely disappointed thanks bioware :(

Bioware doesn't hate ps4 users. Microsoft just hates the fact that they don't have that many interesting exclusive titles/franchies to sell their new console.

I doubt BioWare would have made a conscious decision to leave part of their fanbase out from being able to access their DLC on release day. I mean, wouldn't their best interest be selling as many copies as possible on day one of the DLC?

This deal was probably struck long before the vanilla game came out, so it's not worth fussing over right now. It won't get anyone faster access that isn't on PC or Xbox One.

I feel your pain, OP. I can't say I'm happy with From Software releasing Bloodborne as a PS4 exclusive, but then, that's business.

It's like one of the few times Microsoft customers who're not interested in American Football don't get screwed over. When PS4 players were actually outraged about the Tomb Raider timed exclusivity, I could only giggle manically whilst tearing up and start sobbing.

Most interesting games (for example as far as I'm concerned The Vanishing of Ethan Carter recently) are on PS only because of Microsoft's "first class customer" parity clause. Which basically demands a game either releases at the same time on both, or never. I don't know whether I'm more outraged at the notion or insulted that Spencer tries to justify it by effectively calling me infantile enough to not want something at all if I can't have it either first or with the cool kids.

In case you're reading this, Phil: I really don't care. I'm fine.

OT: This particular case however, is no more Microsoft's fault than Vietnam was Smith & Wesson's.

Remember: each time you're buying one of those exclusives, you're voting with your wallet in favor of this practice.

I'm generally inclined to agree, but I hardly think that thousands of Xbone users, waiting with religious reticence for the Playstation 4 date of their download, will do anything but employees briefly looking at one another in disbelief, before resuming to count the bills they collected from CoD microtransactions.

The particular system or deal this is a symptom of has long been struck with EA access.

If this is a one time deal for DA:I then I don't mind it much, but if this happens with all of the DLC that's to come out then things will get rather dicey.

Actually it seems you have not learned the lesson. You are actually doing what MS wants you to do, thus this will result in MORE timed exclusives. Seriously are people so impatient these days that they cannot wait a month or two to play the game the way they intended. It's not a permanent deal, just wait ffs.

The Tomb Raider deal rustled my jimmies in a major way. I loved the last Tomb Raider game, and when the head dummy at Crystal Dynamics told me to go play their little Tomb Raider Osiris Party Game or whatever instead, I was raaaaaaaaaaaaging.

Oh, absolutely. I doubt there is a way back or out at this point. It's an established practice that I'm sure the vast majority of people actually like as long as they are on the right side of the deal.

Yup.  Customers are being punished for not playing on the "correct" platform.

It is only this one time for the first single player story DLC. That's the contract fulfilled.

After that, everything should release at the same time for everybody.

I dislike it, obviously, since I'm a PS4 playing left sitting in the dark, but it's not going to be the end of my gaming world. I'll get it eventually, and the rest will be available to me alongside everyone else.

That was a really good one, yep. Especially the BS they poured over their "community" right afterwards, telling them how their "friends at Microsoft" and the exclusivity deal was "the very best" for the sequel. A masterpiece of adding insult to injury. Chapeau.

That is the type of thing people cite when it becomes an abuse. Unlike the nagging over this, the Tomb Raider issue is very suspect.

It's not that BioWare hates you.

They just love money more.
