Well, just started the game... 100 hours ago... This is my 5th Bioware game, it is actually my 6th but since I am still not able to even start Mass Effect 1 (but I digress)  it is the 5th one I can play on PC.

 

DA Inquisition is truly a fabulous game, so much that I often feel I want to stop and just enjoy the view. However I have two suggestions:

 

1 - I find that the romantic choices offered to - well - male lovers far outweigh the choices offered to female lovers. I would like to see more female companions that could be romanced starting with, shall I say it, Vivienne, but also Leliana who was great in DA Origins, and others. This could be added to a DLC.

 

2 - The area required to step into to pick up goodies is in my mind too limited and hinders the gaming experience by forcing us to stop backtrack pick up, resume, etc. Not sure I have a solution, maybe make the circle of effect larger or even allow a distance pick up when the item is highlited.

 

My 2cents, will keep playing, and thanks for a great game

OP, Leliana and Morrigan weren't LI options because they were two of the main options in Origins, and they didn't want to be treading on people's toes.  Vivienne, well I'm not sure why she wasn't included and was given her own little romance story - maybe for variety in the story?

In retrospect, Bio probably shouldn't have added two male LIs to the game during the extension, though I can see why they picked the characters they did.

I disagree Solas romance was good addition. The problem is we have only 2 female companion romances. And Sera well only good think about Sera she have "kick out off Inquisition" button. And advisers Josephine have less content and just boring in general. W need more female companions.

Obviously you didn't lurk this forum before posting or else you would realize that a) you didn't use appropriate word choice that indicates to anyone of any education level that you speak only for yourself and no one else in the Verse, and --and this is the big forum "NO-NO" you asked for more female LIs for men.

While Dorian is in fact the breakaway star of the game some men don't like mustaches or mages.  Hard to believe, right?

People can have an opinion and ask nicely for stuff in a consumer product without receiving so much shade they think they're having a solar eclipse.

I'm sorry but not everyone loves facial hair.  Personally I love a beard and I've been one for others, but still...I can see where some might not appreciate the mustache.

I don't think anyone has attacked OP...?  I just pointed out why Leliana wasn't an option. Personally I'd favour having far more females as romance options myself - but they have to be bi.

I don't care if he asks.  This guy doesn't bother me because he's obviously new.  It's the ones that spam the forums and create creepy, hair-metal drummer, fan-art 'improvements' of Cassandra that creep me out.

 

Oh, and the guys who whine and complain about how the game isn't a 'dating sim' and 'waifu-this' and 'sex doll-that', but then turn around and clutch their pearls when they don't like the lady options.  Those guys get on my nerves too.  But this guy?  No worries.

I hear ya .  I have total sighs to people who want MORE than others get like the people who go "Gay guys get too many options" or "Wimmins get all the options", but when they just say "Give me more, pweeze"...that's cool for me.

DAO had Morrigan and Leliana. DA2 had Isabela and Merrill. DAI has Cassandra, Sera, and Josephine. 

 

DAI has more female characters to romance than either previous game.

shhh, don't tell anyone.  I think he wants to play as a straight guy and not a girl.  Call me crazy, but those are the feelers I was getting.

There's actually more female LIs in DAI (3, possibly Harding) than in the previous DA games (2). I think the reason why it seems like too few is because there are noticeably more male LIs, which is in part due to having more male companions than females. I wouldn't be surprised if they slightly skewed the companions in favour of females for the next game.

First, he had 2 comments and said he enjoyed the game.  Second, look at post #2.  Not sure I would stay on the forum to talk to people who welcome my request about a game I deem "fabulous" with "So go play Origins".
