I don't know about fluffy, but she is pretty meek. The only time she really seems comfortable is when she and Shepard play chess.

She even says it herself in the Citadel DLC during the party. She's surrounded by all of these very famous, high-ranking people, and she's just a lowly comm specialist.

Open to interpretation. She's very out of her element in that situation, but those of us whose default setting is meek would usually be more likely to be very, very quiet and struggle to make small talk than we would be to identify and candidly announce our feelings to the room of people who are bringing out our insecurity.

While she spends a significant portion of the game feeling uncertain of herself in this environment, she does have an underlying sense of pride in her own intelligence and ability, and she's prepared to do plenty of things that are decidedly not meek, like disrobe in front of her boss or chew him/her out for firing her without provocation. The fact that the boss in question is Shepard really highlights her core confidence.

I don't want Bioware to make character for me on my terms (from posts that are on forum others are quite specific so something like latino homosexual, demisexual, brunette with long hair, legs and big boobs with fetish for leather miniskirts) i want them to bring back - or make some similar to- those we already had - Lelliana or Isabella (or even Merril) or to make an option to persuade Cassandra (or possibly Morighan) to lesbian relationship

So you want all LI options to be playersexual, then...? Fair enough. I personally think different orientations is good, as I've said before. Your previous posts sounded as though you were saying if you didn't like the options, then they weren't really options. To which I was responding that no one will ever like all of the options.

I don't like the options in DAI as much as the previous two games either. Josie, and Sera if I ever get around to romancing her, will never be on par with Leliana and Isabela. But hey, for some people they're the best thing ever! And that's cool.

If we don't like a particular character that is available to whatever PC we're RPing, that's not really something we can complain about IMO. If there are drastically more options for one gender or orientation, yes we can address that.

I don't want to change any conversation you have with let's say Cassandra, the only thing I want is that if you flirt with her enough you could persuade her to try relationship with another woman (female inquisitor) all they had to change for this outcome is add one line that would say that even tho she hadn't any relationship with woman prior to you she's willing to give it a try. And that's it. No personality change, nothing changed who would care? Only outcome is that more players would be happy

Oh. alright, I see... Hmm. That would certainly be reflective of many real life situations and has good story potential. However, two things:

1) Would we actually want BioWare delving that deeply into sexuality issues? They took a risk with Dorian's quest IMO, but managed to pull it off. While I love them including LGBT characters, tackling those kind of issues is risky to do properly.

2) Your use of the word "persuade" is a bit problematic. ;) Sounds a bit harass-y. I assume what you mean is Cassandra begins to develop feelings, and the Inquisitor asks if she wants to explore it? Perhaps.

It would certainly be a twist on the current models I guess.

1) I don't see how this is relevant, they already made characters with all sexual orientations.

2) for what I care Cassandra could came up with that idea herself after all it was you that flirted with her many times so if you don't want relationship with woman why on earth would you flirt with them? And if they don't like you flirting with them why they won't say anything?

By the time Traynor takes her clothes off, the romance is underway. Getting angry at being fired without provocation is perfectly normal. I'm pretty meek IRL and I would be p**sed if I got fired for literally nothing. Why would Shepard being her boss make any difference? It isn't as if Shepard would hurt her or anything there, no matter how renegade.

I don't really care. They made Cassandra a straight female , and you're just going to have to deal with that or wait until someone mods Cassandra (if you're on PC, that is). She just isn't bisexual, or lesbian, and therefore not interested in you if you are a female.

Well, I thought she did that in the Citadel DLC irregardless of Shepard's gender or relationship status with her. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.

Even if that's the case, you don't think it's reasonable to suggest she's a lot more forward and confident than Liara was in a similar situation in ME1? This assessment is pretty relative.

The line "I play for keeps," for example is a much more aggressive way of flirting than a fair few of the previous LIs had. IMO, that scene shows how confident she can become as soon as she starts to feel comfortable in a given situation.

What I would like to see from threads like these is something different. Instead of the "Can straight male players have more options" that keep popping up, why not, make a thread about what kind of options you would like? Like he KISA thread or the demisexual thread.

And do this using few physical descriptors as possible. For instance, in the Knight In Shining Armor thread, the main point of contention isn't that the man (or woman) have a certain physical attribute, but specifically what kind of personalities fall under that term. There are some (who are quite Fade touched :P ) who believe that Dorian counts as one, while others argue Sebastian or Blackwall.

Anyway, that's the kind of thread I would like to read. Not just some vague "make them like Lelianna or Morrigan" statement, because we already had Lelianna and Morrigan. But if someone said, "Femme Fatale for female love interest, Plz Bioware," then that could lead to more discussions and character ideas.

Yes, she did.

Many of my MSheps are still confused about it.

There already is mod like that around, there is one for every straight character already ^^ I guess modders are rather fast about this stuff.

I agree though, she's what she's and Bioware won't change it. Better luck next time is my opinion on this.

Protip: Don't ever say "irregardless" again.

Seriously: Of all the times I've played the Citadel DLC, she's never taken her clothes off. The same goes for the core game.

edit: Nevermind, she gets in Shepard's hot tub. IIRC, Shepard also never looks at Traynor, and it isn't like that room has a door. Or, if it does have a door, it's a sliding door that never closes.

She's more confident than Liara, yes, but that still doesn't necessarily make her *tough*. Tougher, but not exactly tough itself. Unlike ME1 Liara, Traynor had actually had interpersonal contact with people, so she isn't totally socially stunted. I don't know when she says "I play for keeps".

A good point. I find requests for the future so much more agreeable than vague complaints about the present.

I meant making sexuality itself a focus in a story, which it would be if you have a character actively questioning theirs.

Regarding your second point - Cassandra actually does say something, eventually.

I gather she was just a bit slow at picking up on it - it fits her personality.

I guess except Morrigan is the ****.  Sometimes they knock it out of the ballpark with a character.

I don't want a character like Morrigan, i want Morrigan.  I don't want another Alastair, I want Alastair.  Gaider was hungry back in the day when he made them and it shows.  They are some of the best characters in RPG games.

I guess I don't see the problem in wanting her back.

Morrigan can stick around as long as she likes IMO. She's easily my favourite character if you remove Leliana's bae status.  B)

Because the series is moving forward. If this were like Mass Effect and had a recurring main character, I think that she could be a definite possibility. However, because the story shifts to different protagonists (whether intended or not) it just seems very contrived to have to rearrange the world so as to squeeze these favorites back into the story. I get that they are awesome characters, I loved Alistair myself, but he filled his role and the story moved on without him in the highlight. The same should happen to everyone else, so long as they keep changing perspective like they do.

It would be like Mass Effect never moving forward. If that were the case we wouldn't have Miranda, Thane, Jack, Sam, or Steve (nor Jacob, but Bioware did him like dirt so...)

It's moving forward but we still have Cullen, Leliana, and Morrigan you just can't romance them...why?

What does it hurt if the fans like/love them?

In Leliana and Morrigan's cases, they're previous LIs and the fallout from the fandom would be catastrophic.  Hey, even I'd be pissed if Leliana forgot about my Warden! They could, theoretically, put in flags to detect if they were not previously romanced in an individual player's worldstate and then possibly make them an option, but that's a lot of work though. I do think it's best to leave previous LIs be.

I suppose.

I read this article/interview of Noel Gallagher of Oasis where he explains why his music is **** now, and basically he said it's because he's rich and has toured the world.  He said that really raw and timeless creativity can only come from the hungry or those about to leave something they love.

I think Gaider's best work was his early work and Dorian.  One was him hungry and the other was him knowing he was going to go.

I don't think the other writers have his "touch" and while I think our characters are all cool and everything, there is no "Morrigan" in the new group and there's no cute and awkward Alastair.  I think they were trying to make Josephine that.  I think she's cute but she also doesn't have his...I really don't even have the word for it.

I can see why someone wants Morrigan and the old Leliana back because there was a freshness to Leliana and Morrigan was so awful and interesting and touching that you wanted more, more, more.

Bioware has recycled some characters, but I think it would be boring to always have same in the game.

Also I have had my dose of Morrigan, Leliana and Alistair already, they are the bunch I hope not to see again.

Well, I see that everyone has different tastes, which is why I don't clock people for not liking the current cast or loving the old ones.

I just hate everyone in my party but Cassandra and Dorian, well, and Varric but they've neutered the dialogue with him to the point where he could leave and I'd be fine.

Its why I don't understand the people who don't adore Cassandra because she's a stand out, but at the same time...there are people who don't understand why I can't get it up for Solas or Bull.
