Does the new DLC have cinematic cutscenes?

Also do fetch quest still live on in this dlc?
My aim is to see if Bioware took some of the main complaints about vanilla DAI and fixed it for the DLC or continued with the same single player MMO gameplay design with FEW cutscenes and loads of codex books/notes.

So the 3rd person camera is still the main "look" of displaying conversations.

Wow. I was expecting a STORY DRIVEN DLC like all other non-item DLCs of Biowares past games. I expected a 5 hour mission dlc that expands on the main story or post story.
Because cutscenes determine if something is story driven.
I guess then Half-Life isn't very focused in its narrative, because there are maybe 5 cutscenes between both Half-Life 1 and 2.

Oh stop being coy! You know what I mean.
Mass Effect Citadel, Mass Effect Leviathan were DLCs that were HIGHLY story driven. This new DAI is nothing more than a new zone full of fetch quest. This is different from a story driven mission like Wicked Eyes or Abyss which is what I thought this dlc would be like.....instead it is a mmo style zone.
Geez I cannot wait for MEr to release....

Apart from Awakening, I can't think of an add-on for any Bioware game released in the past 10 years that was longer than 2-3 hours, unless you're crawling through them. I think it's 3 or 4 bucks too much, but if it compares favorably to Crestwood (which is what I'm hearing), then I will be pretty happy.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's just that what you mean is a bit stupid and daft. Criticizing a game or a piece of content for not having a lot of cutscenes and saying it isn't story-focused based solely on that is disingenuous, at best.

Well it isnt story focused in the same way Bring Down the Sky, Omega, Citadel, Lair of the Shadow Broker, Arrival, Leviathan, Awakening, Legacy, and Mark of the Assassin.
What this dlc is.....is more of the same.....open zone full of fetch quest.
What is really sad is that consumers will eat this up giving Bioware the impression that people want this.
I hope the next dlc is more like the story missions of DAI and less like these open zones and more fetch quest.
I would rather have an engaging story mission like Wicked Eyes or Abyss with unique party banter, many cinematics, and tight Bioware story telling with the emotional touch. More fetch quest and codex reading is not what I was expecting and I know I am not unique in this view.

That's actually not what the DLC is at all. There aren't any fetch quests in the entire thing besides the shards.
I feel that people should learn what "fetch quest" means before saying a game has them.
I'm not even going to bother with the first half of what I quoted, it's more inane nonsense that doesn't have any merit in a debate.

Look, it is obvious that you are satisfied with this DLC as many are. My aim isnt to change your mind. You like it then thats great. However, there are many others including myself who is not satisfied with the quality of this DLC and the general direction that DAI has taken which many would liken to more of a MMO design element. What many of us wanted in this DLC is more of the great emotional storytelling with decisions like the Bartarian threat in Bring Down the Sky or the Reaper origins investigation in Mass Effect Leviathan. Or what about the action packed and intense storytelling in Mass Effect Lair of the Shadow broker with the epic ending? THIS is what many of us was expecting and yet in our perspective, this DLC did not deliver.
Again, if you are fine with this then great, but understand many others had greatly different hopes and expectations from this DLC and it wasnt delivered.
To each their own I guess.

From the twitch stream I watched, it does look like more of the same. I don't see a difference between this DLC and any of the random maps such as Emprise du Lion or the Exalted Plains. If you like what those zones contained then you will like the DLC, if you don't then you won't. ![]()

What is the general level range for the DLC zone? I have skipped around the base game in my play through and now when I go back to places like Exalted Plains, to finish, I am too over leveled. Being over leveled and not gaining xp certainly makes the already uninspired fetch and collection quests that much worse...

From what I've seen on Twitch/YouTube, it seems like level 20-26. So it would be the highest level zone, surpassing The Hissing Wastes.

When you go to the area through the War Table, it recommends at least a level 20. I've heard people doing it the second they get into Skyhold, but I'm level 22 and it's definitely not easy, but enjoyable thus far. Enemies have ranged from level 20-22 thus far.

Yay.Yes.
That's my preference.
Cinematics do nothing for me. Having fewer of them is a more efficient allocation of development resources.

I haven't played it, but I get the sense that it's basically just another zone that is comparable to Crestwood?
If so, that's kind of disappointing.
