So.  I feel horribly neglected.  I'm a PS4 owner.  However they did saw "Coming First" on Xbox one and PC.

So.... How Long until 1/3 of your player base can pay you and play this DLC?

Edited a day later:

Just thought of this.  Didn't Dragon age get Exclusive content with a PS4 Deluxe addition?  Or was that a different game?  If so  maybe we will get something extra that XBox one does.  /cross your fingers XD

After what happened with Dawnguard for Skyrim I'm used to this.

I don't see the purpose behind limited-time exclusives. Money's being passed around seemingly to spite the players who picked another platform. Do they think I'm going to buy a XBone or a high-end PC just to play Jaws of Hakkon sooner?

Apparently the deal with Microsoft means they aren't allowed to say.  Which is stupid.

This is absolutely ridiculous, inexcusable and undefendable...
Let me quote CDProjektRed:

"We love games. We love collecting them, playing them, and everything connected to that experience. Every time we reach out for a new release, we expect to be taken care of. We expect support if we encounter any problems, we love updates constantly improving the experience, and we feel really special when we receive free content that gives us more than we initially paid for. It doesn’t have to be huge, it can be an awesome skin for a character, or an extra sword, or armor.

Unfortunately this treatment is quite rare these days. As gamers, we nowadays have to hold on tight to our wallets, as surprisingly right after release, lots of tiny pieces of tempting content materialize with a steep price tag attached. Haven’t we just paid a lot of cash for a brand new game?

As CD PROJEKT RED, we strongly believe this is not the way it should work and, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we have decided to do it differently. Cutting to the chase, everyone who buys Wild Hunt will receive 16 specially prepared DLCs absolutely for free, regardless of platform. You don’t have to pre-order, you don’t have to buy any special edition to get them -- if you own a copy of Wild Hunt, they’re yours. This is our way of saying thank you for buying our game.”

That is applaudable! Although I would happily pay money for extra content if it warrants the purchase, I want you to focus on this bit: 'regardless of platform. You don’t have to pre-order, you don’t have to buy any special edition to get them -- if you own a copy of Wild Hunt, they’re yours'
This platform exclusive content is bullshit, as a PC gamer I'm boycotting the DLC until it's available for EVERYONE. This injustice has to stop!

More like neglecting 3/5 of platforms, but I think Bioware.. or EA got some sweet deal with Microsoft, it's business after all.

What's in this for Microsoft? No one is going to switch consoles because of DA DLC. The awful thing is that fans of the ip are being dragged into this stupid console war. And this is what annoys me.

It's also PR. Don't forget that CDPR has special items for the Collector's Edition of Wild Hunt that are only available in the Xbox version of it, with this as their reasoning:

"Why are we doing this? We need the support of partners to make our game visible worldwide," CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwiński said in a statement to Eurogamer. "This should hopefully translate to better sales, which will in consequence allow us to do what we have been doing for the last 10 years, i.e. reinvest this money to make more great RPGs, while still sticking to our values."

Sounds like familiar logic, right?

Probaply not just for one DLC, but what about when first accesses and DLC:s are going to XBONE? It gives impression that XBONE has all the good stuff and is above Playstation, at least Bioware-wise.

Larger than 1/3, since PS3 and Xbox 360 people don't get a release date yet either.

I wouldn't mind the wait if we all knew when we were getting it...

Seems strange that they'd do a "surprise! Have some dlc!" thing, when for lots of us it's "surprise! You lose!"

As a fan of The Elder Scrolls, this is all too familiar.

Microsoft always gets dibs on DLCs.

this exclusive thing isn't a good look for Bioware/EA. What gets me is that there was no announcement of the DLC up until the day before it comes out. Seems fishy.

The majority are saying it's timed, and so, I'll wait for more news. Judging from the criticisms, it's pretty much just a new piece of land to explore.

CDR had developed quite the talent for PR doublespeak.

We wouldn't even be able to play Bioware games if it wasn't for EA.   ME1 never even game out until the Trilogy was released for Sony gamers.

Aside from that fact.  This timed exclusive crap is just how the industry is these days Microsoft really got into doing it.  FINALLY Sony is doing it themselves though and not just letting Microsoft do it with free reign.  It is stupid though.

Sony straight up bought Street Fighter.  SFV isn't going to the XBone.  Ever.  But it is on PC and it features cross platfrom play for PS4 and PC gamers to fight each other.

Hopefully one day something can crush the venomous evil that is timed exclusivity. If it's going to be cross-platform, then gorrammit, just have everything be released cross-platform at roughly the same time.

I have a PS4 and a gaming PC, so I'm not really feeling neglected. I just plan on using the PS4 for console exclusives anyway (like Bloodborne, which my friends successfully nagged me into buying). Anything I can play on my PC, I will play on my PC - timed exclusives have never really bothered me and still don't.
