Of course that likely depending on wither they are only depending on local supplies for food for Antiva which is a major trading power if not the trade power(I am thinking of a merchant republic Venice, Amafi or Genoa) but with no trade rivals which likely means they could transport large amounts of goods including food which would likely effect any numbers.
