I'd like to see an action-packed episode, in which Mulder and Scully get into a gun fight with mysterious, armored troops, some of whom carry swords and perform acrobatic, ninja-like flips.
Mulder & Scully start using experimental weapons in the lab they are hiding out in, which turn out to be surprisingly effective. They decimate half the mysterious organization within minutes, but there is no time to gape in awe of the mystifying powers the advanced weaponry possesses. No, no. Their top priority is survival. Outmanned, but not outgunned, they fight tooth and claw to survive. They know there is no means of escape.
All of a sudden, Mulder notices every time he reloads, he only has half a clip's worth of ammo before he runs out. Scully's gun, so destructive before, now is barely tickle-inducing.
Wave after wave of the enemy troops start closing in. Mulder and Scully are backed into the armory, using and discarding guns at an alarming rate, as each gun wildly varies from its initial effectiveness. It's crazy! They cannot understand what is going on with these weapons!!
As the troops with the riot shields close in, Mulder and Scully turn toward each other despondently, wishing they had enough time to say everything they've always wanted to say to eachother, yet warmly because they will at least be spending their last moments together.
Camera pans out to reveal a mastermind figure sitting above them, shrouded in darkness, furiously typing away on his keyboard. The date 3/24 is circled on the calendar behind him. It is Tuesday. A gigantic coffee mug, shaped like the elusive Brilliant Surge, blocks most of the evil genius' name, but the letters "AGNAN" can be seen.
All of a sudden, the door to the room where Mulder & Scully are trapped bursts open... but no one is there. The mysterious troops are on high alert, but stand confused. All of a sudden, their heads start exploding, one after another. Panic sets in; they are now the victims of their own trap. Within seconds, the floor is littered with headless corpses, and Mulder and Scully, drenched in the enemy's blood, sit baffled and horrified.
All of a sudden, they see puffs of smoke appear out of nowhere. And then... The Smoking Man uncloaks...
To be continued...
