My main thoughts of bards come from back in the day in Everquest. And they wore plate armor and used swords and daggers. I don't know that I have played anything with them being mage like.
Possibly additions / new DLC incoming?

What no harp, lute or mandolin?Their song must be boring without playing an instrument.
Btw,I still have Everquest 2 in my game collection, but I have never played it ![]()

I always figured that she would terrify everyone with her creepy skeletor hands.

On a sidenote - I heard Brian Fargo works on a Bard's Tale IV now.

Or they have a really great voice. Maybe use enemy body parts for percussion instruments?

Ah yes, EverQuest, and it's flute-sword playing Bards.
I played on Sullon Zek back in the day, Bards will forever be a focal point of mine for much anger and hatred ![]()

Her hands look like a hand model compared to poor Bethany. Bethany essentially had claws.

I'd be curious, given the DAMP characters are actual people rather than random helmets like in MEMP; do you think they're actually making Isabella an MP character, or do you think they're using some sort of template/reused asset and it's merely still called "Isabella" for unromantic & boring reasons?
Bards are rogues. Not mages. Fail.
I dunno, Sketch was technically a bard. And a mage. I don't think you need to dual whield daggers to sneak into parties, and sing & kill people. There's spells for all of these things (Including singing I would hope. Otherwise being a mage must be a pretty sad experience)

Oh no they had all sorts. Each type of song could be amplified by a certain instrument. Healing/regen spells worked with lutes, things like invisibility used flutes, running speed and DoTs used drums and I feel like there was one more, possibly a horn? I should probably know since I only played a bard but that was so long ago. And bards could change shapes too, rogues and bards could use masks to shape shift into pretty much every other race. Even werewolves.

I don't even remember what server I was on, although apparently my dad had been playing secretly for the last while (we both played back in the day) and was one of the top shadow knights in the entire game. Why the bard hate though, we were awesome. I could twist songs like a boss.

Ah that's who I was thinking of. Sorry my mind must have tried to block out the images when I saw those hands ![]()

Slutty character like Isabela from previous games would be much appreciated. She would make hilarious banter with other party members.
Just imagine shy archer and her arranging rendezvous in some murky tavern
"This pleases me."
But yeah, I'm more interested in the prospect of a supposed Avaar now...to the point where I'm willing to wait for a Mabari a little longer.
Hey, I know: The bard class requires you to sing over voice chat to keep the abilities going!

I'll stop singing if we get Mabari. Maybe I can make it into the Friday stream and force-sing them into submission?

The only Bard-song I can recall is by Jimmy Valmer, in South Park: Stick of Truth. I'm not sure that is ready for prime-time...
