There's a lot to take in about this DLC, but I think I like Inquisitor Ameridan. I like the armor my Inquisitor was wearing better than his though. Shame I can't upload it from xbox one. I'll try to take a picture on my phone and upload it that way.

Ofc you can.
Just hit the menu buttom twice and then press Y

I did that. Got a good picture of the Inquisitor and Morrigan wearing his awesome armor. I just don't know how to upload it from the xbox to my laptop or the network.

Here's the picture of my Inquisitor. Has nothing to do with Inquisitor Ameridan, but I thought the armor I crafted and then tinted looks a lot better than his.

The way Ameridan greets a human Inquisitor is interesting.

"How fares Drakon? Has he spread the Chant to the whole world yet."

What is interesting is that he doesn't say it in a sarcastic or hateful way. Rather like it is something he wished for or wouldn't mind.

Well, Ameridan follows a heretical syncretic version of the Chant that doesn't denounce people who follow other gods as heathens. 'Tisn't surprising.

Well, he was Drakon's long-time friend, so I don't see what's wrong with that.

The true implication here is that Drakon had nothing against elves or mages, and he's a man who's revered almost as much as Andraste.

Have someone else told the professor that Ameridan was a human noble warrior? You get a war table mission to either celebrate with De'Amaridans or blackmail them.
I really liked that option, my human Inquisitor was a avid supporter of the Chantry and didn't wanted to tell the truth to the world, nice to see that option. Hopefully it will be a choice in the keep too.

No, because it's fun when orlesians squirm.

And it didn't feel right, mostly to Ameridan himself.

I did it for the Chantry, if the knowledge that the Chantry lied about one single thing spread, everyone would start questioning everything it said. My Inquisitor is pro Chantry and when the professor confirmed what I thought that would happen, I choose the lie. While its unfair to Ameridan, he is not more important than the Chantry to my Inquisitor.

Pretty scummy tbh. Seems like more of a promotion of old and bad habits than actually helping the institution in the long run.

If the Chantry wasn't built on big fat lies I would've understood.

That looks to me more like a power trip hidden behind the excuse of being pro-Chantry.

I chose to tell the truth. Thedas needs to know that the Chantry has lied to them for years. I want people to question and doubt the Chantry, so they will really think about why elves are treated they way they are. Why mages are treated they way they are. And knowing that the last great Inquisitor was not just long time friends with the first Emperor of Orlais but also an elven mage, hopefully it will be a step in the right direction and start healing the damage the Chantry has caused over the last eight hundred years.

The fact that Emperor Drakon, a man almost as revered as Andraste by southern Thedas was good friends with not only a mage, but an elf as well should go a long way to healing the rift caused by centuries of dogma preaching falsehoods.

Inquisitor Adaar was more concerned about the truth than he was about making someone look good.

Yes it is scummy, I was rping a conservative noble who wasnt interested in changes, I always had choosen the Chantry need to be restored and that he wanted the world how it was before.

While I have choosen choices to give my Inquisitor more power, this one isn't one of them. The Chantry had already elected a new Divine but was still being restored, this information would only discredit the Chantry more and my Inquisitor always had made choices to help them, so it had to be made.

So your Inquisitor is one of those people who would fight change with every fiber of his being despite how destructive traditions can be?

Yes, its was a fun playthrough.
He was a noble raised in a devout family to be a member of the Chantry, he became a force of conservatism that helped to restore the status quo.

Not the way I try to roleplay things, but hey, you bought the game so you can play how you want.

so they will really think about why elves are treated they way they are.

Which has little to do with the Chantry.

Why mages are treated they way they are.

Because they are dangerous and every society outside Tevinter was built by people who were fighting against the abuses of magic.

damage the Chantry has caused over the last eight hundred years.

Lol, the Chantry forced the elves to remain neutral in the Second Blight and to invade Orlais, did they?

Nah, not really.

I mean, the first thing some Dalish clan did was try to get some payback in the form of reparations.

This is, in itself, evidence of hostility.

Now, on this, I disagree. They simply wanted recognition on the fact that Ameridan was Dalish. For heaven's sake, at least grant them that.

So BJ you don't just hate mages but elves too.

They didn't want reparations, they wanted the truth known.
