And you hate everyone that doesn't agree with you.
No I don't. Where in the hell do you get that I hate people that don't agree with me.

Now, on this, I disagree. They simply wanted recognition on the fact that Ameridan was Dalish. For heaven's sake, at least grant them that.
I'm not judging their actions.
But the quest specifically states they want "reparations". Meaning, their first reaction was try to profit from it. Understandable but not exactly a sign of coming together in friendship.
The lies the Chantry has told would eventually catch up to them. Why they thought things wouldn't come to light I'll never really know.
Tbh, I just want to see the Chantry burn.
I'm not judging their actions.

Or that they want some form of justice, for people profiting from their family name for a few hundred years.
So JB you don't just hate mages but elves too.
They didn't want reparations, they wanted the truth known.
Hey, some of my best friends are elves and mages.
Or that they want some form of justice, for people profiting from their family name for a few hundred years.
And once this has been achieved, friendship will be that much easier to obtain.

Ok, so they might be a little greedy. That doesn't reek of "hostility" to me.
Hey, some of my best friends are elves and mages.
I'm curious. Did you like Ameridan?
Hey, some of my best friends are elves and mages.
Really? Are these mages tranquil? Because you really seem to hate mages and would happily see them all burn.
No I don't. Where in the hell do you get that I hate people that don't agree with me.
I apologize. I stepped too far.

It is okay. I can get a little heated on here. But I don't hate anyone here. I will argue with them till my fingers fall off but I don't hate them.

Groups of people will never let old grudges go, especially if they profit from it.
You'll just have one wielding a guilt stick over another.

He doesn't. He does, however, want to see all mages in bondage, due to fears of what he claims is an inevitable race war, and the idea that mages must be constantly repressed by mundanes because if they weren't, they would be too useful and valuable for society for said mundanes to not enable them to elevate themselves to leaders of society.

So for the first time, the Chantry would actually admit to being guilty about something? That seems like a major step up.

Were they actually asking for monetary reparations though? (I can't recall off the top of my head)
If they were asking for money, then yes, I'd have a problem with it. If they just want it declared that Ameridan was Dalish, then that I would have no problem at all with.

First time for everything, no? Though to be fair, Justinia was very clear to admit that the Chantry had effed up over some things.
I'm curious. Did you like Ameridan?
Yes, he staid in stasis for 700 years trying to stop a Dragon God from wreaking further devastations during a Blight and then his and his friend's descendant ruined everything.
What is not to like? Ameridan is great and would have made an interesting companion. I would have liked to have heard more his opinions on what the world has become; have him explain to Cassandra what the Seekers and Inquisition intended to be when they were being formed, etc.

And he had great taste in armor ![]()

They want money or resources, at the very least.
"The Dalish would like reparations, while the d'Amerides would like this embarrassing matter to disappear.
Josephine:If we bought the silence of clan Ghilain with a few mementos of their Inquisitor, the d'Amerides would be most grateful.
Result:Clan Ghilain asked for a great deal more, but they are placated for the time being.
Cullen:The d'Amerides have spent years profiting from a name they claimed falsely. The Dalish deserve honest reparations.
Result:Clan Ghilain offers its thanks to the Inquisition. We have long argued that Ameridan was one of our people, to the derision of the lords of Orlais. The reparations received from the d'Amerides will provide for our families in the coming winter."

You do realize he likely would have been against the Circles and more then likly wanted mages to have real freedom. Since he was married and probably had children.

Okay they did ask for reparations. Though I don't really blame them.

He helped the Seekers track down Maleficars, he probably wouldn't be against the idea but maybe how it was now
Like how he would've rallied the Dalish to help against the Blight which probably would've made things different with the Dalish now

Ok, that's a little more irritating.
