Having fun solo'ing as 2H Warriors. The following videos are best suited for players interested in learning Reaver and Katari tactics vs templar and demon .
L19 Reaver only needs 4k exp to 20. Not worth wasting a full team run with, so let's solo that last bit of exp! Everyone goes fine until I decide to play risky, and forget about a certain Shadow at the end of zone 3, having long since cleared the original objective.
Reaver skills combinations are demonstrated above, and what happens when you get too cocky. ![]()
L3 Katari is bored. Let's go slay some demons. How far can I go? Enough to gain two levels.
L5 Katari gets demons again. How far can I go? End of Zone 2 is about when I get bored of playing safe and wanting to move on. Two more levels!
Effective anti-despair demon, and wraith projectile dodging tactics are demonstrated in the above Katari videos.
You don't have to get hit by Ice Mine and Ice Beam the majority of the time.
Timing, direction, use of terrain and spacing matter a lot. Take advantage of all these things, as the enemy target where you appear to go, and are committed during their attack animations. Exploit their behavior for your gain. For Despair demons, they jump around when approached while idle, but are vulnerable during their casting animations.
If I can pull this off solo on perilous, so can anyone with an open mind--in a team environment on any difficulty (or solo'ing around pugs). The tactics and gear are major game changer when you have the open mind to learn skill in order to take advantage of them. Don't doom yourself to inadequacy by refusing to believe there's any way to play better.
