Was wondering when this will be addressed there are many items throughout the game world that are either completely unattainable do to the fact that they are under the terrain or floating high in the air best examples are the book gathering quest in sky hold there is a book in the garden near the staircase floating in the air just out of reach another is emprise du lion the town just accross the wood plank bridge is a partially destroyed red house the documents are under a snow drift, as far as crafting resources go this issue is persistent in every zone in the game

I've had a couple of floating loot packages I couldn't retrieve. The last one was essential, since it was a key (Caer Oswin). The autosave occurred AFTER the kill, so it was of no use.

 

Dragged out an earlier save and started it again. This time the loot package for the key was accessible, but there was an unreachable in the air directly above it,

 

It's probably too minor a glitch to track down.

Sometimes, you can collect "the unreachables" but going into tac cam and interacting with the object (that's how I got the book in the garden), but other times, you just have to reload. Don't even talk to me about the spider glands stuck in the ceiling in the Western Approach.
