Skyrim had Max von Sydow, Christopher Plummer, Joan ****** Allen, Vladimir Kulich, Michael Hogan and ****** Wonder Woman...hello?

Downvote Skyrim all you will but they had Oscar winners as voice actors.

Who cares if the rest of the game was BS? (Yes, I do own the game - and I like the previous TES-Game way more!)

greetings LAX

Nothing on Solas. I was expecting something on him. I have not finished the new DLC yet but the grinding "Go Fetch" stuff gets boring.

I completely understand that they wish to make the game as vast - and when I say vast, of course I mean the many quests that pretty much have no true purpose to the main story itself as Skyrim does - as Skyrim, popular and known { and favored, surely }, but adding nonsense that is basically a 'filler' to give more hours of purpose to simply add more to the game? What point is there in that, honestly? The DLC itself, is a fantastic concept, and even makes the players of the game anxious and excited to discover more secrets within the game.

But, as I said, adding in fillers that would simply waste ones time to just say, "Look, we added more hours to the game, that really have no purpose, but hey: it's a DLC, right?" When, honestly, there could have been SO much more they could have considered to make an addition towards the game instead. The players, and of course the true fans of Dragon Age - veteran and novice - for the series, have come up with several different suggestions and improvements to what could transform the game from amazing, to something truly magnificent.

The story already is something that we all simply adore, and no less. The plot, the cliffhanger moments, shock and awe of turn of events, et cetera. & To be honest, I think that with some more DLC - which I think they're coming out with something else soon, I believe[?], though I'm not sure on that - it could further make the game a desire, a need, to play over and over again; even though I'm aware that some, if not most, already surely have. But, of course, there's always room for improvement, yes? xD Don't get me wrong, the DLC that they've already come to release has an amazing concept. Yet another piece that makes us thrilled to discover what's in store for us next. Though, with additions and improvements to further DLC, I think it'll make it all worthwhile - hopefully without mindless/idle 'filler' hours to consume the gameplay. Ya know, things like a new party member or two, more scenes for your romance choice { Maybe after the main story is completed? I don't know, just feel like there wasn't enough scenes and dialogue as far as the Inquisitor's romance went, to me. }, new major questline to be completed after the main story - of course just as glorified and enjoyable - and so on. I'm sure there's several different ideas that the fans could imagine.

So I settle with this conclusion to what I've said, and I do hope that most of the fans agree entirely when I say this: Bioware, please appreciate, consider, and compromise more download content that us fans come up with in order to make Thedas a better place to inquisit.

Though, I am curious about one thing. The DLC of the Jaws of Hakkon, has only thus far been released for the PC and Xbox One versions, and not yet the PS4 { of course not even a matter of debate to release it on the PS3 and Xbox 360 }. I'm curious as to why Bioware is telling us PS4 users to 'be patient' for the release of the DLC, and that the PC and Xbox One users were able to get their hands on the content first. Why make us PS4 users wait? Is it because they plan to add a certain feature or something that's restricted for the PS4? It's curious to make that statement classified, seeing as they didn't provide any sort of reason as to why we need to be patient for the release to the system.

However, I know for a fact - of course once this becomes available to the PS4 - I'll be buying it for myself. I believe most of the reason for that, is I'm very OCD with games that I become highly addicted to. I simply have to have everything that comes along with that particular game, including DLC's, and sometimes even collectable items such as figurines, shirts, and so on.  Which I'm sure there's many people that are like that as well. xD

Anyways. As I said, I just hope Bioware comes out with more DLC that can be more than idle hour 'fillers', giving us further options and opportunities to the game. Still wish there were more options, scenes, and even maybe a more in depth epilogue to your romance option, though. D;

I'm sorry you were disappointed, especially if you got your hopes up that's the worst :( . Maybe they'll make another DLC later on that seems more like original content rather than a cut zone?

I do think that them not announcing this until the day before it became available was good at least. We didn't have time to become hyped and then (some of us) let down even harder.

I really enjoyed the DLC. I loved learning about the Avvar and the last Inquisitor, and the layout of the area being just as if not more vertically-oriented than horizontally-oriented was very fun.

However I am sorry you were disappointed.

So, what kind of story would people like to see in future DLC's? It's all well and good to explain dissatisfaction with something, but let's talk about ideas for future additions to the game. (I haven't played the DLC yet, so I can't say one thing or another about it. When I saw the trailer though, I thought it looked cool, but I remember that my first thought was, "That's it? I expected more.")

Personally, I'd want something more personal to the Inquisitor. I toyed with the idea about returning to the Inquisitor's origin somehow, like meeting some of the family if you're human or the clan if you're an elf. Or just past friends/acquaintances/enemies. I think that would be fun, but when I consider it realistically, it probably won't happen. Lately I've been entertaining the idea of an attempted assassination on the Inquisitor's life... while in Skyhold (imagine the drama XD). If the nobles in Orlais are worth assassinating, you better believe the leader of the Inquisition is, whether he/she is nice or a jerk.

To answer why the Inquisitor went all the way out there?

I think because its really meant to be a mirror to what the future may hold for the PC, in a character arc sort of way. The whole "Nothing good will come from this, and to quote Dorian "No one will thank you for this"" sort of situation

Personally I loved the main story. Its the ONLY thing I liked  from the DLC. (That and the main Avvar tribeswoman because shes freakn hilarious. )

I felt motivated by wanting to know what the life of the person before me in this role was like- what they sacrificed, who they loved, etc. The main story actually felt really personal in that way I think. I wonder if that was intended?

It meant something to see that Ameridan had relationships, friendships and was actually a really cool character all in all- but none of that kept him from dying alone and history shaping him for its own ends.

Its a hard lesson, but even Harding says the same. the memory quest was awesome from a character building perspective. I just wish the story quest had even MORE gravitas (impacting significant choices moving forward for the Quizzy).

But I'll wait for the next one I guess where I hope they get it right this time for a proper meaty story dlc.

1. Something that isn't breaking existing lore.

2. Something that is polished well enough to play through without saying words you're going to be ashamed of later

3. Something that doesn't start with a Requisitions guy

4. Something that is really thought out, not a history research-like thing from people unaware what history research actually is

5. Something not that cheap (I mean, good barbarians, bad barbarians..? Seriously?..)
6. Something with a sane price tag on it (either more things to buy for dat price or less price).

I have a feeling we won't be getting any more story DLC at all now that Gaider is gone.   At least, not involving any characters that were written by him.

Gaider wasn't even the best writer on the team, Weekes is a good writer and I think Dragon Age will be better than ever under him.

I think Gaider's politics were starting to get in the way of telling his stories.

I just want great dragon age style storytelling, fetch quests aren't worthy replacement for depth.

I'm afraid to say that this is the first BioWare DLC in a long, long time that I won't be buying.

I can barely drag myself through the main game, it's so persistently dull; and this DLC seems to perpetuate what that game does wrong (in many a fan's opinion).

The thing that makes older BioWare games great and unique is that they weave a deep, interactive story throughout the entirety of the game.

Inquisition's primary focus is cross-country running and sloppy -- if kinda fun -- faux-tactical combat, with an epic but narratively shallow main quest thrown in.

Now, I'm not against exploration (if there's something worth finding, and if much of said exploration contributes in a meaningful way to the story), and I'm not even against the new over-the-shoulder camera for certain low-value conversations, but Inquisition misuses and abuses both of these concepts, turning the bulk of Dragon Age into a visually beautiful but boring-as-beetroot-stew MMO.

This will probably be my last post on the topic, because my energy is spent.

I'm tired of reminding BioWare what a BioWare game is supposed to be like. They either don't get it or don't want to get it.

Assuming it's the latter, I wish them luck with the new direction they're taking, and I hope they continue to make money and win shiny, shiny awards ... but, for now, I'm out. I'll come back to take a long gander at Mass Effect 4, but I regret to say that I won't be buying any more BioWare games based on faith in the company.

Well I was one that defended this DLC that is was worth 15 bucks, but i gave up and quit, couldn't take it anymore, tried hard, normal and casual, they all felt the same, one shot boom i'm dead over and over again (rogue by the way), enemy mages take forever to take down, but our mages go down like limp linguini, making me nuts

I just want to address a few things. I haven't bought or played the DLC, but I've seen its content. I'm not especially positive about JoH, but I disagree on these points.

"Why would the inquisitor herself go all the way out there to find the last inquisitor?"

-This DLC is clearly geared more for Post-Game story. That is, the Inquisitor is in a safe enough place, and is always the type of person (regardless of RP) to keep himself busy not just as a figurehead or a secluded leader, but an active leader that makes some direct change. He can't be everywhere all at once, but it turns out that the Inquisitor is interested in the fate of the last Inquisitor.

Again, this is more Post-Game. Cory is not here. The Demons/Darkspawn/Venatori/Red Templars are on the run. The ending celebration made things clear that your allies/friends (shame you can't easily treat everyone as tools) want to stick around for a while. So you all go and check out what this last Inquisitor stuff is all about.

It doesn't need to be a huge incentive, if the urgent matters are already taken care of.

I'd not do this game pre-Ending for this reason. Especially since Cory is all about the Tier 3/Lv 20-ness, not Tier 4 Lv 25ness.

This 'Inquisitor just wants to help and keep busy' thing is what drives a lot of what he does (OUTSIDE OF GAME MECHANIC EXPLANATIONS). It isn't that they're a leader. Its that they're actually an otherwise relative commoner, propelled to Messiah/King status, but never truly, fully believing it even when you RP in that direction. We don't have to like it, but I wanted to explain my take on that.

-It is still an improvement. Not as drastic as many of us would like, but JoH clearly does look like an improvement... to the open world zones previous to it. Not main storyline quests, jesus no, but at least the zones. And while $15 may seem too much for that for some, its not breaking the bank or presenting itself as a major expansion ($20-25+).

Otherwise, I think I agree. I'm not highly disappointed by what I see in this DLC, but I'm also not too happy at the price and I think Bioware could still do a lot better. I'm quite fine, in itself, with more open worldy adventures.

I'll buy it at some point.

Normally I agree with their reviews but in this case I really don't. Maybe they're huge skyrim fans (again I love that game but that's not what I look for in a Bioware title.) or maybe they were paid.

What ever happened to 10$ DLC? If this game is such a success why are they charging 15$? I think I paid 15 or 20$ for awakening and imo it was definitely worth it but 15$ for a simple DLC(JoH)

Gaider wasn't even the best writer on the team, Weekes is a good writer and I think Dragon Age will be better than ever under him.

I disagree. I like Weekes and all but Gaider's writing has a depth that most of the other team members don't seem to grasp correctly. If you've read the novels you'd also see that he's quite talented as an author as well.

As for my least favourite writer on the team that goes hands down to Mary Kirby. I believe she's the one who ruined Anders in DA2 and turned him from a funny interesting character into an angsty maniac that I couldn't stand to have around.

I'm glad Inquisition brought back some of the humour. DA2 had its moments and I love that game but overall there was far too much angst and not enough light-hearted normalcy.
