Suggestion: Support all mods and modders. They're good for games.

Do you work for Bioware? Why does people (potentially) not buying the dlc in any way affect you?
And I play on console so I can't even use mods anyway.

If no mods existed game companies would release a lot more DLC content and bug fixes.
Oh I get it, now.
You're playing a game of who can make the most ridiculous statements.
I'm not even going to challenge you, you're way out of my league.

I don't use mods.
I don't particularly like mods.
But I will staunchly argue in favour of those who do.
Mod users have to accept that the use of mods means they are more vulnerable to patch changes,
but in a single player environment where it affects no-one but themselves, why shouldn't they?
No mod is going to replicate a full dlc.

Player: No reason to buy DLC when you can get mods free.
Game company: No reason to add new content when everyone is adding it free.
Not everyone. Just PC users (and only those who mod). Console users don't have mods.
No mod is going to replicate a full dlc.
Also this. And if someone did release a full DLC as a "mod", that's called piracy. Not modding.

Player: No reason to buy DLC when you can get mods free.
Game company: No reason to add new content when everyone is adding it free.
Because their content if done well will make them money? I dunno. Sometimes companies want extra cash to show the shareholders. ((shrug))

@ Sofajockey please look at Dota which started as a Mod for WC 3 or Nehrim which is a Oblivion mod turning into a game of ist own. Just look at what the Skyrim community created contentwise.

Player: No reason to buy DLC when you can get mods free.
Game company: No reason to add new content when everyone is adding it free.
So this is why no company ever released DLC.

I think the OP is being silly. Mods don't hurt gamers or devs. I mean, look at them:

They look so happy to have got that scooter! Besides, I think they're too busy fighting the Rockers to have any effect on DLC policy.
