If you believe them when they say they haven't spent a single minute trying to block mods. I've got a bridge to sell you.

Do you own the bridge?  I believe there's a scam where people say they own a bridge but don't, and still try to sell it.  Regardless, I'm not in the market for a bridge.

Thanks for the offer though!

I don't believe Bioware's response is anything more than a PR spin.

Patch 5 destroyed multiple patch folders, stopping modders until they found a smark work around.

Patch 6 removed the work around.

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.  It is not a coincidence that patches back-to-back block modding attempts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but patches and DLCs breaking mods isn't BW exclusive; Bethesda games are usually considered mod-friendly and just about every patch/DLC they release ends up breaking something.

BioWares patch didn't just break something. It broke ALL mods and when the modders fixed it after patch 5. patch 6 broke the fix, lol

That they crippled the dev console shows they are taking some steps to restrict our ability to play the game as we see fit.

The same with patching exploits.

That's the nature of the game though.

What I mean is that as someone who mods I fully expect every single patch and DLC to wreak havoc on my mods.

I'll take that as a complement.

Don't worry, it is.

Patch 5 and 6 didn't just require the mods to be updated.  In fact, none of the mods needed to be updated.  The problem is Bioware is purposely changing how the game reads the patch information so that mods are blocked.  And when the community adapts, they blocked the work around.  I'd be a fool to think they aren't doing it on purpose.

Blocking and hindering ways to mod the game would be a rather stupid reaction in dealing with customers who love and enjoy having that option. It's a rather costly way to shoot themselves in the foot. Blocking customer ingenuity with every new patch is crossing a red line for me.

well this topic is an interesting idea, but how exactly should Bioware do that when mods don't usually run even with each other so to make patch where none would be affected is impossible

If this game has multiplayer why expect full mod support.Mods should not be supported unless there was a way to ban multiplayer mods.

Are you serious ??

Are we calling what DA:I has multiplayer. To me its something they tacked on so they could sell pixel chests to the slow audience.

The community stepped in a solved some major issues that Bioware just didnt seem to care about.

Quite frankly who gives a **** about DA:I multiplayer when there are alternatives that are million times better.

The game is sold as a singleplayer game, that is its purpose.

Err.....why? Multiplayer mods are a frikkin' brilliant thing. No MP mods, no Counterstrike, no DotA (and thus no LoL) etc. PC Multiplayer gaming was born in modding.
