I'd love long hair but I understand if they don't want clipping issues - though personally I'd be willing to accept some clipping for a good hairstyle (no pun intended). Shoulder length hair would be great as long as it looked like 1) you bothered to comb your hair, and 2) it framed your face nicely.

The funny thing is, some of the hair we have still clips through the ears and face unless you change the face/ears to not clip through the hair.  So, clipping wasn't actually solved with hair we got

And I'm not even one of those who believe that women cannot look good with straight hair, but the 2 "long" styles are buns where you look like you have a receding hairline, and the medium length have the worst side-parted bangs/fringe or look like a frickin hair helmet from the 70's.

 

It's seriously the WORST hair in gaming.

 

 

I'd agree with this. I thought Oblivion had the worst hair but here we are with DAI... almost 10 years later.

Seriously. Origins had better hairs than this game. That is not an exaggeration.

I don't know what happened to make the hairstyles such a low priority during development, but it shows. All we can do is hope that Bioware has heard our concerns and will address them. But as I said, I think Bioware has been doing a pretty great job of listening to fan feedback for Inquisition, and the Black Emporium is the perfect way to address this one.

Blackwall's beard clips.  So?  I'd rather clipping than bald.

Tell me about it. My main Max's ear clips through that long undercut hairstyle, and it's bugging the crap out of me. The worst part is, the only way you can avoid that clipping is by giving your characters awful sticky-outy cauliflower ears. ):<

The hair for Humans, Elves, and Dwarves is bad. Really bad. Inexcusably bad.

 

But the Qunari 'hair' is just on a whole other level of awfulness.

Everything clips so much in this game that I think it's ridiculous to Bioware even use that to against new hairstyles. It's not only hair that clips, it's all armors through necks and chins, it's helmets and hoods through ears or head, it's weapons etc. Pretty much everything that's in the game clips ^^; I don't think clipping long hair would make any difference. People would be just: Oh, there is another thing that clips. No biggie.
