Does anyone else hate having to walk over to every single loot manually? Bioware should bring back the function from origins where you would walk towards something you've tried to activate! it made things so much more convenient and i really miss it! ;n;

DA:I is a console game. You're not supposed to play it with a mouse.

Hmm. I thought it was just that they were copying Skyrim, which also doesn't have click-to-move. Then again, I suppose Skyrim's pretty much a console game too.

Except BOTH Inquisition and Skyrim were available on PC at release so how exactly are they not PC games? I played both on my Computer and played over 400 hrs of both at this point. Both have controller compatibility but i cant exactly always have my controller on me. So yeah kinda an invalid statement js.. -__- I'm talking about people who use a mouse. Obviously.

Might have most to do with engine used. I'm no programmer but engine pretty much defines how you move and do the basic things. If there is this feature not implemented in Frostbite it might be too much work (in their opinion) to code it there.
I know I miss how you pressed R in DA2 and autolooted everything. God I miss that. Such a simple thing can make wonders.

Well, you can call them bad PC games. Actually, I believe the technical term is "lousy console ports."

The pathfinding can't handle elevation. That's why there's no click to move. You can see how pathetic it is if you use the tac cam over minor obstacles you can jump over or on.

TES games never had a click to move feature.

Except skyrim is more of a first person game.

I don't see how this matters for loot, or anything else out of combat. And in combat we have click-to-move

Yes, but I meant it was exclusively wasd

Yeah.
I'd imagine first person point and click to be very.. weird.

Err... yeah, that was my point. I already said that Skyrim doesn't have click-to-move. If WASD worked fine for this stuff in Skyrim, why doesn't it work fine in DAI? Or is it bad in Skyrim too? Out of combat the big difference I see is that it's sometimes even harder to find loot in Skyrim.

If you look behind you while traveling, they hardly do.
Teleportation is used quite liberally by our dear friends.

You can play the elder scrolls games in third person too.

Oh I thought you were saying it was click to move as well.
WASD is fine in DAI for me. Can't understand why people have trouble with the looting.

It's over the shoulder though. Still be odd to click to move

I find that i can be literally touching or even on top of a piece of loot but the game still wants me to adjust my camera angle and take another few steps. T_T its just irritating as hell, especially when you kill a whole mob
So i guess a larger loot range would serve the same purpose i just really hate having to stop at each loot pile -__-

I think I was talking about looting in Skyrim. But I see your point about DA:I
