It's over the shoulder though. Still be odd to click to move

Worked in DAO.

That said, looting in DAO was a bit odd, too. If you used the tactical camera it was fine, but with the chase camera the selected character needed a line of sight to the loot for it to be selectable.

I think it works well in Skyrim, as well.

There's no cursor though for click to move

I actually had a small issue with Tac cam on PC where my Warden wouldn't go and get the loot and I would have to adjust the camera a bit and then click again. It might have just been me though.

I don't miss the click to move, don't think I've used that since NWN2. But the rare time I take over a companion in battle is when one my of ranged rogues (Sera, Varric) is shooting something like a giant or a dragon 10 feet away from it. It would be nice to take them over, click to a spot farther out, and go right back to my character, rather than having to manually move them the whole way. Actually, it would be really nice if they were smart enough to do that on their own.

Good point. Apparently I'm crazy.

I found it worked every time once the camera was at its highest angle.

But even that was a bit irritating, as I typically only went that high on the camera to loot (and occasionally target AoE spells.

I only use the Tac Cam all the time in DAI because of the other gameplay changes that occur when you activate it.

Click and loot would certainly make the already-broken PC controls a little more bearable.  The "F" button helps, but I'm accidentally attacking every chest and door in sight now.  At least ladders won't have me ripping out hair in frustration any more.
