He's not orphaned. He's one of the Maker's children, and Andraste is his stepmother.
Andraste's also the Maker's daughter.
Ah the things gods will get up to, banging their children or other relatives.

I hate Bianca the crossbow. Inquisition makes it much more of a pain to maintain.
It's not so bad. I spent a great deal more time fiddling around with crafting armor and other weapons than I did dealing with that thing, and I got it to dole out some serious damage.
Bianca's last minute threat was just weird. It's not as if the Inquisitor had been forcing Varric to undertake dangerous missions, or anything. The man's volunteering to help solve a problem he indirectly caused in the first place so why get all aggro with Inky?
Like I said, that last conversation was just weird.
Eh, I think Varric talked her up too much, but it was gone and over with and I could concentrate on something else. If everyone kept talking about it, then I'd be annoyed.
That last minute threat she made on my Quizzy pretty much ranked her at the top of my must-murder list.

I won't go that far, but yeah...
She totally went on my don't-invite-to-Skyhold list.

I wish there was an option to give Varric to her. She's happy because he is out of danger, I'm happy because Varric would be gone. Win-win.

Varric isn't allowed to be seen with her. If he was caught, he'd probably be murdered.

That's for them to figure out once she takes him away from the dangers of being in the Inquisition.

Honestly, besides getting Hawke to show up Varric really doesn't contribute much to the game as a returning companion. I suppose the card game was mildly worth him being around but still...
Bioware really should of allowed us to kick out anyone we wanted, sans Cass and Solas of course.

Yeah, and he wasn't really critical for the card game. Josephine and Cullen were bigger roles in that scene than he was, and it was a Varric scene. But literally any other follower could have filled the role he filled in that scene.

Well, it wouldn't really be something for them to figure out. Bianca would simply leave and Varric would just go back to Kirkwall. It would be no different from simply telling Varric to get lost.

Well, they could have a night of passion committing adultery before they separate if he left with her, but either way would have worked.

Iron Bull, Josephine, Dorian or Sera could of easily of called everyone for the card game instead of Varric. It's not like the don't like the guy, he was actually my favorite companion in DA 2, but he just doesn't add much and the PC should of been allowed to give him the boot after that whole lying about Hawke thing.

First image that came to mind was them taking each other right there, with Sera laughing and Cassandra saying "UGH!"

Because just in case you didn't get it already, Bioware thought they're really hit it home that she's SOOOO super kewl and bad@zzzsss.

Tbh that threat would've only made sense if you was playing an assquisitor

Super kewl and bad@zzzzssss protective GF, Who is also a Mary Sue...as if we don't have enough of them already.
Varric&Bianca = Romeo&Juliet
Never thought the dwarf would be the tragic hero of a love story. He was always so detached and non compromising in DA2...

I don't think I see that.

I definitely don't see that. Sardonic, definitely. But Varric cares so deeply for his friends that he pays a small fortune to keep them safe, and he's basically the spokesperson for compromise within the group.
I don't think I see that.
There is a bit of Romeo & Juliet in their relationship
There is a bit of Romeo & Juliet in their relationship
A bit, sure.
I don't think it's enough to say "= Romeo and Juliet," but a bit.
I dunno if I'd call Bianca a Mary Sue (A Mary Sue would be devoid of flaws. Her flaw is that she didn't care what Varric told her and thought she could fix things, that she knew better then him, and that she fucked up big time).
Under-utilized, to be sure. Somewhat contradictory in that we found out Gerav was responsible for making Bianca, IIRC. But a Mary Sue? Nah. That's a term far too often bandied about.

If it was they'd both be dead right now lol ![]()
