Oh no, a selfish character in a long line of selfish characters in the DA universe. Honestly, in her position I would of tried to get my hands on red lyrium as well. Who knows what crazy **** you could do with it. It's no more dangerous than mages, demons and dragons.I disliked Bianca from her introduction - just the way she came across felt condescending and she treated Varric like a possession rather than a significant other. Then of course it felt like she was hiding something - which I didn't like, and of course what she WAS hiding was the red lyrium secret. For those that say oh well she made a mistake - Varric swore her to secrecy, told her all about what happened to Bartram and she would have either seen for herself or heard about what happened in Kirkwall with Merridith - so she has absolutely NO excuse for letting the secret slip; she KNEW this stuff was extremely dangerous, but put her own curiosity and self above her respect and regard for Varric - it was a completely selfish action.
It really miffed me as well that I couldn't take her to Skyhold and judge her - she deserved to be punished for what she did, but instead we get more snark and Varric being strung on again.
Disliked her from start to finish. ¬_¬
Anyone else hate Bianca?

I wouldn't have minded it if she wasn't trying to act like such hot **** beforehand. Not as much anyway.
Oh and it's clearly a lot more dangerous. It's taint level dangerous which trumps all of these.

She's voiced by Laura Bailey thus I cannot hate her. I've met Laura at a con few years ago and she was just lovely. The character wasn't exactly memorable but by no means hate worthy. Then again, she's probably the reason Varric x Hawke would never work.

What I find funny is that Laura Bailey also voices Dagna in Inquisition, an eccentric dwarven inventor who thinks she's the best at what she does (or at least, the best who's still alright in the head), and is far too comfortable creating and experimenting with dangerous things, including Red Lyrium?
Kinda want to ship Dagna and Varric, now I think about it? She's basically Bianca anyway, with a bit of Sandal thrown in? ![]()

You specifically address this line, as though it were some great insult. No one ever forces you to forgive her for the red lyrium. Varric directly calls her out on it. What you're asking for is the option to be deliberately stupid, and I don't see anything wrong with BioWare leaving out that option. I wish they'd thought to leave it out in a couple of other places as well.
You are forced to forgive because there's no option to punish her in any way for the red lyrium mess as well as the threat. Having an option there would be stupid? No. Ruthless perhaps. Maybe evil. It certainly would be fun to role-play that type of character. You think people who've done things like Bianca in real life haven't faced consequences?
Good for you that you're so forgiving and anti-punishment for Bianca that you don't want an alternative to even exist, but if you had actually been fighting red templars who may have even destroyed Haven, which never would have happened if Bianca didn't screw up, then would you really be so opposed to even the option to punish her in any way? The fact that you want less options, especially here, boggles the mind.

Thanks to this thread, I have decide that I am not going to be nice to Bianca in my next play through (which is the route I have always taken with her though I don't know how possible it is to react negatively towards her). Bianca can go suck a f***, tbh.

Sadly you can't be very mean to her. You can threaten for her to pay for what she's done, earning some Varric disapproval in the process, only to eat her threat and watch her walk away as if she signed an immunity deal moments later.

Read the OP. Although I would settle for a "Sit in Judgment" or punch option.

I am not real taken by her, myself, but I do not get the hate, either. Seems pretty overblown.
What she did, regarding Cory and the red-lyrium -- so what? Everyone makes mistakes. As if to say Corypheus was an obvious threat to everyone at the time that she should have stopped and thought, "Wait, this Warden might -- against what every Warden stands for -- be working with one of the magisters who entered the Fade and corrupted the Golden City now recently awakened as a Darkspawn emissary! I should hold off 'til I confirm this is not the case..." Obviously the mere thought of that was outlandish at the time. She was trying to uncover more about Red Lyrium. I think that is a worthwhile goal. As they say, knowing is half the battle.
As to her demeanor, well, what do you expect? She is a Carta dwarf. It would be more strange to find someone polite among that crowd.
And LOL @ calling her parting words "a threat." She obviously did not mean it literally. All she was really asking was for you to take care of Varric... in her rude, Carta dwarf kind of way. Not like she is going to be a softie about it and say "Pwease don't get my baby Varric hurt pwease..."

I don't want to turn this thread into Mages vs Templars, but believe I really wanted to punish Fiona for her stupidity. She deserves to be burn at stake or send to Aeonar if such place truly exist. She fucked up badly, and she's complete moron and imbecile who like you said shouldn't be allowed to lead anything or trusted with simplest task.
At least you have an option there. You can always recruit the templars instead as I always do. Your reasoning can be that the mages screwed up so it's their problem. Then you can kill her at Haven.

I saw no humor there but whatever. After the mess she caused if she topped it off by saying that line to my character I should have the option to toss her in one of those darkspawn pits. There isn't even a "Sit in Judgment" option. It's a prime example of how limited your actions are in DA:I that your character is forced to forgive the body count/conflict caused by her mistake in addition to her threatening you.
It was funny because what she said was so inappropriate in that moment and I believe she knew it. I can't explain it any better why I find it funny. Anyway I don't think it was a real threat so I didn't have problems that I couldn't take any actions against her because of that. However I agree with you that there should have been that "sit in Judgment" option because of her mistakes. Anyway I think there was a lot of choices you could make but I didn't see much of a consequences on choosing different options. Cullen takes lyrium or Cullen doesn't take lyrium. No much difference. If I can decide that kind of thing then I want to see the consequences of it. If I left Blackwall to be executed I want to see it is done or that somebody else has freed him.

A threat being "funny" is subjective, but it's still a threat. Considering what came before, it was highly inappropriate. I'm repeating myself though.
The lack of a judgment option made no sense besides the obvious bias towards anything Varric related. "Varric and her were once in a relationship so she's exempt." Please. We judge people for smacking goats at castle walls, and there were more similar examples of people acting with good intentions still being judged. Ex: Mayor Dedrick, Mistress Poulin.

Well, they actually did bad things. Bianca, meanwhile, just talked to the one Grey Warden in the world who'd ever been possessed by an ur-darkspawn.

Well, they actually did bad things. Bianca, meanwhile, just talked to the one Grey Warden in the world who'd ever been possessed by an ur-darkspawn.
Mistress Poulin had to either work with the Red Templars to save some of her people until help arrived or have the red templars kill them all. Mayor Dedrick drowned the sick, the darkspawn, and probably some innocents in order to save the rest of the town. The Inquisitor will even remark on their surprise that the town survived the blight before learning how it did. Both courses were done to survive.
Bianca did a bad thing, even if unintentional, out of curiosity. She wasn't supposed to tell anyone about the thaig but did anyway. I put some blame on Varric for telling her though. Ironically he also freed Corypheus. Varric: the secret architect behind all the evil of DA:I.
I repeat, Chief Movran the Under was being judged for smacking a wall with goat's blood.

Clearly you guys havent been in an abusive relationship.
You are right, I've never been in an abusive relationship. But, my IQ doesn't have any options to help Varric, except to be his friend.
