Probably as much a threat as Isabela gives MaleHawke if you're in a romance with Merrill.

It involves knives, and parts of Hawke.  And knives removing parts of Hawke if he ever hurt Merrill...

The difference there is Isabella is, by then, someone Hawke has known for years. S/he knows Isabella is given to hyperbole from time to time. And Isabella's delivery is pretty light sounding. It's a cheerful threat.

The Inquisitor has known Bianca for about ten minutes, and she looks and sounds QUITE serious when threatening the Inquisitor. It's a completely different relationship and tone, and completely uncalled for. It might be in character for her (in fact, given how rude she is leading up to that, it absolutely IS in character), but that character is rude and inappropriate. It's especially over the top if you just defended her (which one of my characters did, as he felt it was an honest mistake on her part and she really was trying to fix what she could). That we don't even get to give her a hearty "Go **** yourself" in reply just makes it worse.

I think that's actually my biggest issue. My inquisitor doesn't get to respond to her at all.

All I know is that I wanted to slap her irons, and haul her before the Inquisition for judgment.  Make sure Varric had to watch, although not to punish the guy.  He needs to learn that some secrets need to be kept and not to tell someone everything.

Like others have said, we get to pass judgement on others for much less.  I don't hate the character Bianca, but I know Plot Armor when I see it.   She's as guilty to me of the Rifts as Solas and Cory is.  It's irksome that the only reason that she's untouchable is due to the writers.  There is no good reason to let her go, and "she's Varric's twue luv," is a very poor excuse to let that slide.

I chuckled at that threat, but not in a funny "ha ha" kind of way.  It was more of a "Try it and I'll gladly remove your heart."  I wanted a chance to respond to that little remark, even if I got a Greatly Disapproves (-20 affection according to my save editor values) from Varric out of it.  I could make up the approval loss easily via quests and judgments, but this lady had the stupid bravery of threatening the Inquisitor after helping unleash Red Lyrium throughout Thedas.  It wasn't a little bit, or an accident like with what Hawke and Varric went through.  That area in the Hinterlands was pretty much the original main source for the Red Templars.  Nice job breaking it, jerkass.

I don't play evil characters, and I usually tend to be on the good spectrum, but for the second time in the series, I wanted the murderknife/sentence to death option.

You should have read my rants about Sebastian demanding that Hawke kill Anders for him.  I was...miffed that the jerk didn't do it himself if he thought it was that important.  My opinion about Seb did not improve in DA:I.  :P

Yeah, thinking about it, if the option presented itself, there's no way I'd let her just walk away.

Inquisitor: Hey, Bianca. What did the irons say to the wrists?

Bianca: What?

Inquisitor: CLAP!

I do think the option to judge her should have been there, but I imagine that this would require some follow-up with the Merchants' Guild somehow. Dealing with them would no doubt be fun.

My ex-Carta dwarf, that still has ties to her old contacts, would happily take on the Merchant's Guild.

Also, that would be a fun DLC idea too.

It's funny because if anyone puts Varric's life in danger on a regular basis it's our girl B here.

Bianca: "Get him killed, and I'll feed you your own eyeballs Inquisitor."

My Inquisitor:  "I have no intention of allowing him to come to harm, and out of respect for everything he and I have been through together, I'll let that one go...just this once.  However, threaten me again and I will shove you in the deepest, darkest hole in my dungeon.  My mages will keep you alive while I slowly peel all of the skin from your body with the finest blade that Harritt and Dagna can produce.  When I grow bored of that, I will tattoo my name in your exposed flesh with ink made from deathroot and red lyrium before I drop you in the deep roads.  I trust we understand each other?"

Really, though, did so many people think that they were going to get Varric killed so as to actually motivate her to try and make good on that threat? Because otherwise, it doesn't really mean anything, I think.

So if someone threatens to feed you your eyeballs and then never actually do it it's ok? A threat is a threat, it doesn't matter if the person follow through with it.

But seriously, the threat is just icing on the cake. There are plenty of reasons to dislike Bianca. You like her? That's fine. I'm happy for you! I wanted to like her but after meeting her, I wish that she had stayed dead/gone.

I don't necessarily like Bianca, I just... don't really see why I should care? I mean, it's not like she's someone within the Inquisition threatening me; that could be problematic. But since she's just a stranger... it just doesn't register to me very much when compared with all the people who outright try to kill me. I didn't even remember that she'd made any threat until I saw this thread.

Oh I get that, I couldn't take the threat seriously. There's no way she's going to have the means to actually do something against the Inquisitor even if she's the super awesome badass that she claims to be. But it's a bad line, from a bad character with bad dialogue responses. While some Inquisitors might let a stupid thing like that slide, there are plenty who wouldn't let her get away with it. Not after she admitted to giving Cory the red lyrium. I believe her when she says that she didn't mean to cause harm, but she seriously fucked up. If we get to judge people for something as minor as smashing a goat against a wall then why should she get away with arming the enemy and threatening the Inquisitor?

She has a bad case of plot armor, and that line in particular made it painfully obvious.

I'd ****** slap her ass off my battlements for that personally. I don't suffer fools, much less the likes of her. No wait, I'd punt her, lol. Varric, you can thank me later dude.

At least give us the damn option. Or let us conscript her, if she really is a better smith than Branka then I want the option to use her. She and Alexius could work together to create a Tardis or something.

Especially when you think about the people in the Emprise du lion, all the suffering and everything else. Some responsibility needs to be taken, but she just gets off Scott free. lame

It's not so much the threat itself, but the gall of the gesture after discovering what a f*ckup she was. Like, you shouldn't get to be all lippy after being a part of far worse than Varric's possible death.

Yeah. The fact that she keeps trying to cover her ass and is a complete idiot during the quest doesn't help. She and Solas both screwed up and share the blame for how Cory was able to threaten the world. But at least Solas is fighting to stop Corypheus, unlike a certain lady dwarf. You know that super awesome crossbow you designed that you don't feel like sharing, Bianca? NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO GIVE THE DESIGN TO US SO THAT WE CAN CLEAN UP YOUR GODDAMN MESS.

I suppose in some respect you have to respect Sebastian for that. He'll extremely begrudgingly respect Hawke's decision instead of pulling a Sera and kicking Anders in the nuts/face to death. Of course Sebastian kind of becomes a psychopath in DA:I if you let Anders live which makes me want to spare Anders more.

Sera accepts whatever decision the Inquisitor makes. It's not like she sticks an arrow in the guy when he's walking away. A more apt comparison would be that Sebastian doesn't just bludgeon him to death after getting tired of listening to questions. I can't say that I'd blame him if he did. If I was in Sebastian's shoes, Anders would have died no matter what Hawke said, because vengeance.

So you'd be willing to die for the low chance of killing Anders?
