Nah - a successful troll is supposed to irritate you and make you seem like a frothy-mouthed lunatic responding to their rhetoric... a feeling of very, very mild pity does not a great troll make.

But as the flakiest power in the entire game, it's completely unusable on the two higher levels for those of us who don't host. Seriously. It's just a waste of points which will get you killed over and over and over again, which is a tragedy.

 

I've never experienced this myself. The biggest problem I have with it off-host is that you can't instantly use both poison strikes. On host you can mash the button and basically double up the power. Off-host, you will get a delay immediately after 'landing' from the first poison strike that can last between a half second and a second, which dramatically reduces your DPS, and significantly reduces the value of the double-strike.

If you're talking about it not activating at all, that's solvable by proper mouse-movement and player placement. If it's not working, strafe a few feet so you have a clear line of sight, and wave your mouse around a bit, which SHOULD give you the right circumstances for your poison strike to engage. If it still doesn't, then your connection must be so terrible I am amazed you can play the game at all. But if you DO have a connection like that, I applaud you, that's legitimately pretty awesome that you can not die all the time.

Haha, it really is a different game on PC.  I'm a console scrub, and my connection is sound enough, but the fact that I'm in Ireland means I'm often pretty far from the host.  I'm well used to compensating for lag, but I just had to give up PS on the Cabal as it was driving me insane.  Constantly mashing the button but getting no response, exactly like Biotic Charge, but even more frustrating because it shouldn't need to target anything to activate.  I would then find myself having to use Biotic Focus and dodge, but usually wound up dead.  I can play her fine on Silver, and do so on an alt a/c, but for my main I'm pretty happy now with my melee build, which allows her to more than hold her own on Gold.
