I think a offensive bubble will, not sure about a defensive bubble though which is the kind the guy is using that Limbs was talking too.FWIW, the Bubble will detonate Tech Explosions. I have found this out the hard way many times.* It is probably the worst power on the game for detonating Tech explosions though.
*EDIT: the "hard way" means beginning a Reave-Bubble-Reave explosion chain, and having it turn into Reave-Bubble (tech explosion that barely fazes the enemy)-dead Justicar chain.

Let's just say it's not worth the tech explosion though, since ammo powers prime for level 1 explosions. They're only good for priming if you can cause multiple chain explosions. Bubble Justicar wont' survive long enough.

Pretty sure offensive vs. defensive bubble only matters for priming, and not for detonations. Defensive bubble will still detonate... although most people who do defensive bubble don't take Radius, which makes detonations that much harder to get. I could be wrong though - I rarely ever use defensive bubble.

Oh yeah, you're totally right about that. That's why I said it is probably the worst detonating power on the game for Tech explosions. At least detonating 6x6 biotic explosions with it reliably staggers surrounding enemies and gives you a chance to GTFO.

Why would the defensive bubble (without Warp) detonate anything?

yea that's what I was pointing out. Because he was taking about his defensive bubble in his very first post. And since I never use the defensive bubble I wasn't going to say it won't detonate crap since I haven't used it. But yea I'm agreeing with you. Anyways I'm done with this reaveless tech bursting Justicar nonsense. Why would the defensive bubble (without Warp) detonate anything?

Because the Bubble itself is a detonator?!
The warp effect is applied afterwards afaik, and is a primer only
Edit:
What is this madness of tech explosion justicars?

I think Drell are usually the best, but also the most flaky online (TO GET MORE MATCHES!). Like only once, since they leave/go fast in the game flow. It takes a certain kind of place to use those kinda skills, that most people who do 'the way it's meant to be done' just shun and done like this text thread about other people.
It's so bioware

Ppl mock the drells, but they are usually quite good and when necessary they can deal damage. For example this is my previous plat game topping the board as a drell adept:

It took a while, the two at the bottom didn't really help that much ![]()

I've tried Havoc for the first time the other day, and it was TERRIBLE. I don't get the point of that class.

More annoying is having teammates chase down a nemesis on the far side of the map while SupaJuggs is getting swarmed. Everything is standing still around it; fish in a barrel. Doesn't get much easier for you to rack up kills than when an oversized decoy is drawing every bit of aggro on the map. But dat nemesis is too much of a threat to let roam freely.
It happens more often than not unless you play with regulars who get it.

best thing about jug is when your playing a recon mine character and they use shield. Double recon mine ftw.(instant in2 shield and when you drop another a invisible 1 blows up)More annoying is having teammates chase down a nemesis on the far side of the map while SupaJuggs is getting swarmed. Melee & Grenade Capacity for extra StimPack abuse.
You do have maxed Omniblades, and the most of Strength Enhancer consumables, so why not?

I don't enjoy the decoy Jug gaming style. To me it robs the game of enjoyment. I'd rather a Jug be played properly. ie. Shooting things. If he does this, then I don't even mind if he goes down too often.
But yeah, I don't get why Jugs when getting swarmed, they focus on the biggest enemy first instead of taking the enemies that can be taken out instantly. Total face palm moment every time, and I see it every time.

That explosion is purely cosmetic. It does not do any damage to nearby targets, and the bug's impact on the refresh time actually means that it is slowing down the pace at which the Recon Mine can be deployed.
In other words - it's a bad bug, not a helpful one.
