A rather interesting fic by Sparrow Nightrunner, which imagines a world where each of the origins happened, and each of those Wardens took their joining. It does a very good job of keeping the characterizations, as well as making likable characters in the Wardens, and isn't afraid to take darker turns. Suffice to say, it's not the typical everyone survives fanfiction, people die, and I think it's down pretty damn well.
