What's the point. No one is going to go buy a new system and game for a new DLC (especially if it's time exclusive).

Bioware grow a pair and tell EA to knock it off. All they're doing is aggravating their loyal customers.

And Microsoft hire people to develop actual GAME exclusives for Xbox One, you have no one to blame but yourselves for PS4's popularity.

I'm fairly certain Microsoft wouldn't be paying EA very generous incentives if they didn't have people on staff who have thought about this a lot more than you decide it was a profitable idea.

It shouldn't, but I HAVE seen people say that they bought an xbox one because they heard about the dlc coming earlier to it. So it does happen.

It is stupid, but it's just a business agreement EA made to get some more money out of the dlc.

Oh so your saying people WILL go out and buy an Xbox One just so they can get the DLC earlier? I know a stupid Idea when I see one, Microsoft is looking for stupid gimmicks to promote sales rather than make actual exclusive games, and EA is giving a another reason for their customers to be angry at them

 Never heard that

Just a few pages ago in the twitter thread there was a fan that also said that's why the got the xbox one system. Not hearing it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

It's not just one DLC. Microsoft is focused on more than just EA and Inquisition.

People won't buy a new console for one DLC. But if Microsoft consistently establishes their product as having earlier content and exclusive content that other platforms don't across many games, it could definitely influence players to go with the Xbox instead of a Playstation.

That's one of the reasons why I bought a new Xbox myself. I was generally more pleased with the content I saw on the 360 than what I saw on the PS3.

I don't think many people will go out and buy a new console just to get the latest DLC but if one company is consistently getting content earlier than the others then it would be a factor when it comes time to buy a new platform.

yea there plan works on the simple minded such as children or those with a child like mind where they must have it now and not later basically but its a simple thing to do as other consoles/system will just wait to see it and still pay while the child like pay more just to see it.

I think console exclusive games make more sense. If DA:I had only been released on XOne I might have considered getting one. DLC is different. As it is I didn't know about the delayed release until it actually happened. I'm a casual gamer so I don't follow E3 announcements and the like and had no idea. Which means I now get the option of waiting (for however long it will take) or going out, buying the PC version (because I have a capable PC so buying an XBox on top of another game would be stupid), playing the entire 90 or so hours again and then hoping by the time I get to that point it hasn't been released for PS4 yet or it was all for nothing lol

Does the second option sound likely? Or like something a sane person would do? I'm just shaking my head at this marketing strategy and I feel sorry for the people who worked hard on this game and had no say in what the companies did there.

The only thing that's making me feel a bit more optimistic is the fact that Bioware isn't allowed to say just how long PS4 users have to wait. Surely if it was a long period, Microsoft wouldn't have a problem with them shouting it from the rooftops. So yeah, here's to hoping we'll have it in a week or two.
