Does the new DLC not feel Dragon Age-y to you?

As someone who started on Bioware's BG and has greatly enjoyed every Bioware RPG until DAI arrived, there is every reason to criticise DAI for it's shortcomings in many departments. But what do I know apart from having shelled out nearly 70 bucks for a game I played and came close to hating

As if calling DAI an offline MMO amounts to useful criticism in any way.

Defend constructive criticism if you want, but not poor posts that just happen to support your ultimate conclusion.

I also don't know how you can greatly enjoy Baldur's Gate I and Mass Effect 1 but not DA: I.

After watching a certain scene that has been posted in another thread, yes, the DLC feels very Dragon Age-y to me.

Well if it is true?

Playing DAI I remember many monents where I would feel as if I am going about a similar routine as I did with SWTOR.

Again, you have to be naive to believe that many elements in DAI do not feel as if it came from a MMO.

It doesn't matter if it's true if it isn't useful in a way that explains to the devs what is wrong and what is needed to correct what one feels is wrong. I feel many posters have displayed an ability to articulate where they feel DA: I's shortcomings are, but that poster is not one of them.

Again, you have to be naive to believe that many elements in DAI do not feel as if it came from a MMO.

Or I have simply played more video games than you have. DA: I is far closer to Baldur's Gate I than an MMO, and areas where it is most like an MMO, it has been that way the whole series (combat mechanics such as cooldowns and threat).

Haven't played it yet, but the trailer reminded me of Guild Wars 2.

*dam editor on this form sucks, but basicly this is a response to a quote from Majestic Jazz speaking about how dragon age lost it's identity.

quote of the day, has been and will be the issue with DA, it keeps changing it's own play set so each time doesn't really feel like the last, good or bad to much change and you loose the depth of "feeling part" part of something. Try playing dao then da2 and dai while trying to keep that feeling of nostalgia or being engrossed in the world. It is pretty much impossible. Sure you can get the story from one to the other and get answers to questions, but you loose what DA should "feel" like threw  the process or what the world should be like or an assumption of what is happening elsewhere. As each implementation is changing the rules. THIS is their #1 issue, has been always will be. Unless of course they burn threw about 3 more games of DA using this current engine and never changing it.

And what if it isn't true?

And then you'll say "What if it is true, though?"

And I'll say "Well, what if it isn't true, though?"

And on. And on. And on. And on. And on.

You have to be naive if to believe that many elements in DAI do not feel as if they came from numerous other RPGs - both MMO and non-MMO - that the development team obviously used as influences. Nothing is 100% unique. Everything is always influenced by something else.

The DLC felt more like dragon age than the entire DAI did.

I Still maintain my opinion that if you peel away the body of DAI is SWTOR. Im playing SWTOR regularly I can say for certain I get the same kind of experience here. Nothing wrong with SWTOR ill like it.

I dunno, the concept sounds a lot like the Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim.
