Hey everybody!

 

We want to take the time and announce a new fan-project. Mass Effect Fighters Alliance 2 is currently in production. The project aims at creating a Mass Effect space combat simulator. After our first release with Mass Effect Fighters Alliance 1, we now switched to a new engine and are rebuilding the game totally. Special thanks to Skuid the founder of this project by the way.

 

In Fighters Alliance 2 you will be able to fly either fighters, intercepters or bombers in epic space battles. Your goal to defend your carrier and destroy the enemy ships. We plan to release a first version including the Systems Alliance and Cerberus. Other races will be integrated in future updates.

Features:
- 3D cockpits with working instruments
- playable fighters, intercepters and bombers
- realistic space battles within the Mass Effect universe
- play on the side of the Systems Alliance or Cerberus (other fractions to be added in the future)
- featuring Carriers, Dreadnoughts and Carriers

 

We can need any help we can get to push the project to a final release.

holy ****.... it's happening! finally a mass effect space combat sim! ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN TO HYPEVILLE! i'll definitely be following development of this closely.

Interesting. I checked out the first one in one of it's early states and thought the controls were pretty good (but there was not that much to do except shooting down one enemy ship after another).

 

May I ask which engine you are using now?

@MrFob Hey! Great you tried our first game. :) We switched from a custom engine to Unity 5. Concerning your experience with the first game, we are working on that. However our top priority is to get a first version ready as soon as possible. What would you like to see in the game to make it more challenging for you?

 Nice game!

 I can't even wait to play this game. I wish i could play it now.

 Also i have some questions.

 

 1) In this game, can i use larger ships (like a cruiser, frigate, dreadnought or something like it)?

 2) Do you already have a release date to this awesome game?

 3) What is your plans for the future of this game?

 4) What do you think about a game mode that you are able to play as a RTS and a space combat game (like Void Destroyer)?

 5) Is there a official site to this game?

I'm into the idea of helping, but I don't know how to program. I'm a decent artist, but my art is very stylized. If nothing else, I'm a good writer and voice actor, but don't see much on the lines of story here so far. If there's anything you think I could help with, I'd love to know. If you want some example art, I can give it, but it's not ME related.
