So what if they defeated them they still let an armry unchecked in their own land. And no Ferelden and Orzimmar where the ones who defeated the Last Blight not only Ferelden. So what that sometimes they won they also lost Ferelden is not the powerful millitary country you keep praising it to be and do not forget that they were conquered by Orlais first then later they defeated them after they lost. The Arena is a place where the Avar gain honor and prestige and settle their differences. Also if you do not cite your sources why should I do it?
Just because you say they do not count that does not mean that they do not count. So I will say this prove that they do not count.

They did not failed they survived they made a state after they destroyed Moravia a state that still survives until this day. They were pretty succesful nomands.

They certainly failed to conquer a continent. You've heard of the Battle of Lechfeld, right?

^Well yeah but they destroyed another state and made one of their own that is why they were succesful as invading nomads. And yes I know that is the place where the raiding stopped. The Magyars started as a small confederation of tribes who were forced out of their own land by a more powerful nomad tribe and became the most powerful military in Europe for a time and made their own state they were succesful..

They only made their own state because they got crushed at Lechfeld. So if you're trying to use this to support the Avaar invading and conquering the lowlands, it sort of undercuts your point. As has been previously stated, the one time the Avaar united and tried to conquer the Ferelden Valley they ended up gaining absolutely nothing.

^Yes but back then Ferelden did not had a blight and marauding bands of templars and mages destroying their land and killing their subjects and later they had a real army doing that. Ferelden is in a very weakened position right now so its the perfect oportunity, it was also a oportunity during the Ferelden war of independence but for some reason they just ignored it. Now I do not know what the reason for that is do they have a very good life there or something else but it certanly not because they lack then numbers or technology or tactics.

Also did the Magyars really did not had a state before Lechfeld?

How hard is it for you to understand? The Avvar isn't attacking because they lack a leader to unite the tribes, they have no interest in conquering the lowlands, they are few in numbers compared to the lowlanders, they have inferior technology and they lack the infrastructure necessary to rule an empire. They have nothing to gain, it's a suicide mission.

And I wouldn't be so quick to write off Ferelden as weak. The rebels were in a shitty position during the occupation and they still managed to kick the Orlesians out.

Because Orlais wrote Fereldan off.

But then again Orlais unlike the Avarr actually do have better things to do.

Ferelden is far more deserving of praise as a military country as your little mountain men because you know they actually have a record of successes, what are the Avaar's successes again? Well Bob the Avaar over there threw a rock really far.... yay Bob. Please point me to some evidence that the Ferelden are in a highly weakened state right now. Your little flailing is amusing but hardly convincing. The Avaar are exactly in top fighting shape themselves, many times in the official lore we hear of them stabbing each other in the back and constantly bickering over blood feud and leadership rights within their own clans, truly a frightening force to be wreakened with; so frightening that were even able to capture a whole fledgling Inquisition scouting patrol. Well, they caputured them, got their asses handed to them and had an entire clan banished, killed or imprisoned...... bow down to our lords and masters as they launch the goats of fury upon thy homestead!

Oh, what am I doing, i'm using logic here and that simply won't do. Oh well; all of this is a moot point. The Southern Kingdoms have suffered through much worse in the past and they've survived to become even stronger, where as the official sources say the Avaar are in declined and happy to be an isolationist state so give it an age or two and the Avaar will fade back into the cold with their dead gods.
