Since no one is selling you the DLC while denying you the core game, that's irrelevant. The DLC cannot be enjoyed separately from DA:I.
You need to take a class in formal logic.

The DLC cannot be enjoyed separately from DA:I. Now I'm done. The only people responding to this thread are people with IQs so low its like talking to a wall. POINTLESS bye
A paywall, perchance?
Alas, until the PS4 release then, friend!

You don't need the DLC to play the core game. I don't have the DLC and I'm playing the core game just fine.
The problem I personally have with this is the fact that this is a RPG and the DLC is story content. Unlike Destiny or COD (which I still don't like timed exclusives for), this content is not just new maps or raids which, in the end, amounts to just new scenery to fight in. In this case, there is an actual story to be spoiled by those who got it earlier - whether intentionally or not.
Somebody earlier in this thread compared the situation to having to wait months for GoT. In this case it is more like being allowed to buy most of the series at the same time as the rest of the world, but having to wait months for the final few episodes. Good luck trying to avoid spoilers while you wait, unless you avoid the internet entirely.
For myself, I am more interested in the story for a game, and I would prefer not having to avoid gaming sites or be careful around my friends on other systems so as to avoid accidental slips...
Why do I keep coming back to this stupid thread? It's unnatural and illogical (ha). But it's also a train wreck, and I can't seem to avert my eyes. ![]()
Exclusives and timed gimmicks just turn me away from companies and developers that use them,
I'd never buy an Xbox of any type no matter what gimmicks they try and with crap like "Rise of the Tomb Raider" stupidity they just lost a customer for life yes i'm one person but i'll never purchase their trash again after the exclusive deal with microsoft...
I'd rather just not play them than play them late...

Now, this strikes me as a real argument. If enough people feel this way then the exclusive would be a bad deal for Bio even if they accomplish what MS wants them to do.
You mean EA, since Bio don't get any choice in the matter.

I think this practise is unfair at worst and an annoyance at best. Still though I wonder what would many people who either support this practise or are not phased by it what would their response be if a DLC or a whole set of DLCs and expansions were instead delayed to other consoles by 1 year? What about 2...n years?
Still the most annoying part about this is the consumer is being used as a pawn to be moved from one side of the board to the next. Regardless if an act is practised by many if not all corporations that doesn't prevent it from being labelled as wrong.
Sometimes you have to appeal to the masses.
Make a new one rather than utilising your old one

True but if enough of us get together and speak with our wallets, We can change what happens in the future.Doesn't mean I condone such timed exclusives, but there isn't anything I can do to change what has been done.
In a few weeks you could just play it... It's not like it's a true exclusive.
Geez man, if it bugs you this much, buy an XBox.
Thats what they WANT me to do.
When you sell a game on multiple platforms there's nothing wrong with releasing future DLC to only some of those people who own specific platforms. The rest can either buy a new platform or be out of luck. It doesn't matter that they bought a copy of the same game as the ones with the "chosen platform" make them buy a whole new system and a new copy of the game. Just think of all the extra copies of DA:I you would sell.
Before all that, make sure the DLC is actually worth the asking price.
