Hi everybody!

After the latest two Origin updates (yesterday and today), I experienced something "funny", meaning none of the Mass Effect games start. Does anybody know about this problem and a possible solution? Because this is kinda stange as it happens only with ME and not with other games I have on Origin.

It happened to me around January. I only have ME3 on Origin, 1 and 2 on Steam. After trying several solutions, including reinstalling the game, I solved the problem by adding Mass Effect 3 as non steam game to Steam and it worked.

However, yesterday, after the Origin update I had the same problem with ME3 and not even using Steam to launch it worked.

What I did, was to disable Origin in Game in the Origin Preferences and it started working properly again. Hope it helps

Same problem here. I found this http://answers.ea.co...te/td-p/4435504 but it only worked with ME2. Then I disabled Origin in Game and all worked properly. Hope they fix this soon.

I get home in about 45 mins and we will see if I suffer the same issues.  Origin of all evil, for sure.

I had this problem a little while back and I think I fixed it by changing the compatibility mode settings for ME2 and ME3 (I forget exaclty what I changed them to). I haven't tried to open ME1 in a while. Before doing that, I was also able to launch ME2 by clicking on the "ME2Game" .exe file, but I wasn't able to find a similar solution for ME3.

What works for me is making a shortcut of each game's main exe onto deskopt, swap to "run as Administrator" in Properties and double click it instead of firing Origin and then selecting game from inside Origin.

ME3's exe is in OriginGames/Mass Effect 3/Binaries/Win32, make a shortcut of that.

I also had this issue, it seems to be pretty common.

Disabling Origin in game solved it.

...Now if I could just find a fix for the DA:2 DX11 missing texture issues that doesn't involve rolling back video drivers I'd be happy.....

Also had this.  I uninstalled origin and then downloaded it again.  That seemed to work,    so far.

ME2 never started for me from Origin. I had to shortcut it to the taskbar then when i want to run it, i login to Origin, right click the ME2 icon on taskbar and select "Run as Administrator" and then it works. Otherwise it flat out doesnt run... Tried reinstalling and such to no avail. ME1 and ME3 work perfectly though.

All of my stuff worked perfectly.  I'm afraid I can't help much.

Doesnt bother me too much anyway, so long as i can get the game to run one way or another. Never really use that Origin ingame thingy either...
