I think I screwed up.
I play as a female elven mage. And I think I romanced Solas. I don't want to. It was just because it was interesting to see how it went.
So, I kissed him in the dream sequence in Haven.
Does this trigger the romance?
And how do you get out of it again? There's no option or indication of a romance when you speak to him.
I know I am romancing someone, because Jospehine is only answering with short standard comments.
I also flirted with Sera, but I don't think this is activated.
How do you find out whom you're romancing. And how do you get rid of a mistake when you have no dialogue options for it?
How to end Solas' romance?

You'll have to wait until the next romance sequence triggers, on your balcony. Then tell him to forget it/break up with him.

Can you trigger this balcony scene somehow?

I believe the balcony scene happens when you talk to him after the Haven scene.

The balcony thing will happen after you complete his quest with his spirit friend, return to Skyhold(there will be an additional cutscene), then go and talk to him again.

I don't see 'All Faded For Her' in my journal anywhere. Neither current nor completed.
It's strange because I must have approval high enough to trigger it since he invited me to Haven in the dream?

You'll need a bit more approval before you get the quest.
Although I'm surprised it locks you in there. I thought the second and third scenes were the lock points.

They are. I usually still get flirt prompts on other characters until the balcony scene. ![]()

It must have locked me with the kiss in haven.
I just checked Sera. No romance is activated here. I can still flirt with her though. But Miss Montilyet is not offering me the slightest interest. She is completely untouchable at this moment.
Maybe I have to load an earlier save? 20 hours wasted.

It shouldn't lock you in a romance with him until after the balcony scene. If you kiss him in the fade you can end it by talking to him afterwards. You'll get a broken heart option.

I don't know what happened here.
I just checked all my saves backwards and found the point where I was still able to flirt with Josie. I went to Solas and the dialogue popped up where he asked me if I 'slept well' after the dream. I broke the romance here.
And what'll ya' know...! Ta-daaaa!
As soon as I entered Josie's office Leliana catched my eyes and withdraw nodding almost invisible. So, I guess it must have been Solas who stopped the other romance options somehow.
I just don't understand how this can happen? It must be me who continued the romance in the following conversation, and just don't remember it.
It puzzles me that I was still able to flirt with Sera but not Josie?

There are some you can flirt with whether you are in a romance or not. Cass, Dorian, Sera and Cullen all can be flirted with whether you lock in with someone else or not, you just can't start a romance with them.

I just deleted my saves and started from the point mentioned above.
Now I have the chance to duel to win the heart of my beloved! Just like in the fairy tales! ![]()
