i played the DLC twice and i didn't get the schematics. do you remember what the assignment was you did to activate the war table mission? i could have sworn i did everything in the dlc.
After you complete the main quest, go to Kenric. Talk to him, afterwards you'll have access to a war table mission regarding AmeriDanTheMan, and from there you will get the schematics.

I found the ice giant during my one playthrough. Funny enough i found references to it in game AFTER I took it down. hahaha
