Greetings, I found two of those.
1) if you "hire" Sera after you acquire Skyhold she acts like you hired her earlier and never spoke to her and she slightly disapprove
2) even tho I kicked out Cole the second I could ( I always do...) he get mentioned later on as if he still was part of inquisition

Anyway, these are inconsistent, but unfortunately I don't really see Bioware patching a couple of lines, even if they should.
well Cole is lame character with ridiculously large hat, on top of that he's a boy - for me the worst character in game
and why keep Sera? well I wouldn't, but I want to complete as much as possible and getting rid of one character is all content I can forfeit :]], besides Varric can't use daggers and when I kick out Cole I wouldn't have any useful rogue in party if my PC is not a rogue

well not mine... he can't use bows, he can't use daggers, only weapon he can use is Bianca

Lame? Well, I'm not touching that, but... You don't want to recruit Cole because he's a boy? You're either sexist, or ageist. And if you're ageist, that's pretty inconsistent if you recruit Sera.

I had some words to say in response to their "reasoning," but I didn't want to start an argument over it. Thanks for saying some of them! Cole's practically my son, so I felt slighted by those statements. :c
Seconding also that Varric can indeed use daggers. Firstly, if he wasn't able to, they wouldn't give the player the option to give him dagger-using abilities. Secondly, if you take Varric with you to the winter palace, he'll automatically have placeholder daggers equipped, instead of Bianca.

I also usually avoid starting arguments too, but since Cole is literally the nicest guy ever (among other reasons) I just had to say something. Also, we need a Hug Cole DLC.

I, personally, am not hating on Sera at all, lol. I recruit her and befriend her every time. But, the fact that we can tell her to leave at any time pretty much tells us that Bioware was aware that she, of all the companions, would for the most part be a "love or hate" kind of companion.
Her manner of speech and complete and utter lack of manners, civility, and maturity can make her difficult to like for many and impossible for some. Plus, I'm not fond of how anti-magic she is.
Took her a while to grow on me (same with Vivienne, naturally), and I still only sort of like her. Still, she can be a lot of fun! But, I almost never take her with me. Same with Bull and Vivienne. It's nothing personal to any of them; they just never did anything for me in any way. :V I will still befriend everyone and do their quests, of course! (My "dream team" is Dorian, Cole, and Varric, but I also enjoy Cassandra, and Blackwall's alright, too.)

No, he was able to use daggers since the game came out. The only game he could only use Bianca was DA2.

In this case, yes for 2 reasons:
1. Cole is not a child. He is a spirit who conjured a human form. And even the human form isn't a child.
2. Because you also recruited Sera, who is about the same age as Cole's body looks.
Also, if you can resurrect them, what's the big deal anyway?
I've had the Cole dialog from Vivienne despite the Quizzy not recruiting him (*I* love Cole, my very, very spirits = demons Quizzy however, did not). It's a bit jarring, but so far Vivienne's the only one who mentioned him on that playthru.

Cole is like a chibi, you cannot dislike him when he is in Inquisition. He is just too cute . Just picture chibi Cole next time you see him in game.

Actually, it's not because you don't like a character. It's entirely why you don't like the character. I mean, I already explained it in depth.
Example: I don't dislike Sera because she's "a girl". I dislike her because of how she acts. I'm not sexist or ageist. Your reasoning for disliking Cole had to do with his age - which is a fallacy to begin with since he's a spirit.
And characters state in the game Cole is around 20, although I need a quote. But it doesn't matter because again: Cole is a spirit. Age is entirely different for them.

You completely left out that he's annoying, cliche, whiny, irritatingly cryptic, creepy, clingy, needy and idiotic.

1. Sorry, I can't hire them till I see a drivers license and another form of ID, social security card, passport, something. Child labor laws around here are a real bear, just can't take the risk.
2. Well, Sera says shite in a very cute and adorable way. First time I talked to Cole first he started whining and looking for sympathy, then wanted to start knifing my wounded in a very creepy fashion, then started whining and asking for more sympathy again. At that point I was pretty much thinking, I don't really care if he's a demon or not. I'm not putting up with this crap. beside, no drivers license, no passport.. ya, just not worth it. Lol
