Imagine meeting the guy who plays Sandal and hearing him suddenly predict the future or tell you about the lady with the scary laugh and the nasty thing he found in the woodshed.

Well, NO SHOOT, SHERLOCK.
He's the voice actor. Not the character.

I'd hope so. It would be terrifying if the VAs were all identical to their characters.

Or what if he acted like all of his DA characters all at the same time. ![]()

God if the characters were like the VA, Anders would be an even bigger dick.
After changing into one from a total bro...
Anders was a lot of fun in DAA. In DA2, he's... meh.
Also, originally, he was supposed to never appear again, and instead, Velanna would take his place in DA2. I guess they then decided that one Dalish Mage (Merrill) was enough, and that Anders would be better due to his Circle origins. (Do note how all three of your mages, Merrill, Bethany and Anders, all have different backgrounds, being a First, an Apostate, and a Circle mage - at least originally)

Yeah that's true actually. Dear God, could you IMAGINE how much worse of a force of Vengeance she and Justice would have been, given her "wrath of the Dalish" Shemlen hatred?!After changing into one from a total bro...

My dalish elven Inquisitor would step up for that fight.
Velanna vs. Alysana
That could've been cool

It's a pity Greg Ellis couldn't continue voicing Anders, got nothing against Adam Howden but Greg's Anders was so much better.

I should add that when asked if he was the voice of Cullen he said (in Cullen's voice): yes Inquisitor, I am commander Cullen".
That's not surprising really, he is very good like that.

Well, she is the MIGHT OF THE DALISH!
I'm not sure I would prefer that myself. I kind of liked Velanna, againist all odds. She was a bit of an ice queen, and a b*tch, but she warms up towards the end of Awakening. Plus, Elf. Bonus points, right there.
So, I'm not glad Anders got FUBAR'd the way he did, but I'm also glad Velanna didn't get FUBAR'd that way. I just like her, ok...?
No, put that stone down! Don't stone me to death! Noooo!

Oh! I never made the connection that he's both Cullen AND Anders in DAA!
Figures. While I prefer DAA Anders, I remember DA2 Anders much better.
But, yeah. Anders in DAA and Cullen do sound quite similar.

Why do people like Cullen so much, hes preachy, sanctimonious and awful.
Well, he's nothing special in DAO and DA2 for me. In DAI, he's on the team, all of a sudden. That's enough for me to like the man.
Mind you, I'm nowhere near converting to become a Cullenite.
I sing the Seranade, proudly and defiantly!
Allegra Clark also spoke in Josephine's voice a couple of times when I met her last summer. It was amazing how different it was from her normal speech.
I remember her ILS Ice Bucket Challenge. She also used Josie voice to, quote, "A Josephine Montilyet would like to nominate her fellow advisor, Cullen"

To be honest he is really well written compared to the way he was portrayed in DAII. He has a few times where he almost goes back to that extreme, but he reeles himself in and focuses on what is important. His will to grow beyond the Templar duty to accept mages and at the same time rid himself of the lyrium forced upon him is good character development. Even if you don't like him can't you grow to respect those aspects of his personality?.

I don't think he is preachy in DAI. I think his character has grown from DAO to DA2 to DAI. Sure he's a recovering addict but he's kinda dreamy. LOL. I dunno, I grew up in a family with a military man, so I kinda don't mind a guy like that.
