I read some reviews they seem to talk negatively about story and quests being boring and same from main game.
Since the two reasons you play rpg's is for quests lvling and story and both seem to suck in this is it even worth the price?

Jaws of Hakkon is basically more of what you played in Inquisition, only with an avvar focus this time. More of the same, really. Experimentation wasn't really done.
So if you enjoyed Inquisition and want a side story unrelated to the main campaign, its all good. If you wanted a continuation of the campaign's main story, you won't find it here.
Content wise its not bad but for its the price that's the problem
-D-
I played it after the main campaign and I actually had fun wasting time in exploring the DLC zone before getting on with the critical missions. I didn't have the nagging question as to why my inquisitor was doing all these little side quests instead of fighting the big bad and the breach in the sky which probably helped.
I've spent about 8 hours of my time completing this DLC and I've had more banter from my companions than I've experienced in the whole game so far. In that respect I feel I've had a good return but If you're expecting character focused story content with oodles of cinematic cut scenes you're going to be disappointed.
It was great, I enjoyed it a lot. Haters gonna hate.
I felt like the side quests were better than those in the main game. More people focused. The way it was set up felt like one thing lead you to another. I haven't finished the main quest yet, but what I've played of it I liked. Though I still think side quest and non-cinematic conversations would benefit a lot from having the camera centred on the face of whomever you're speaking to. Floaty cam ruins immersion for me and having it in parts of the main quest was not something I liked.
I also agree that it makes more sense as a post game story. That is how I've played it.
It was obviously cut from the main game. I suspect they would have released it earlier if it wasn't for their POS QA...they had to patch their game up first, THEN release the DLC.
Overall...yeah, I like it. Have not completed the zone yet, but yeah. Whatever.

Is it an interesting side story, though, or are the story and character interactions pretty minimal? It doesn't need to be related to the main campaign for me to get the DLC, but it would need to be in that style. I enjoyed Inquisition but mostly for the main story and main companion quests/interactions. The quests that were in the zones were not interesting to me at all. Does that mean I should pass on this DLC?

It hardly has any interaction from companions, though there is a little bit. If anything, its just cool to get more information on the classic Inquisition(pre-you). Big revelations there(bring Cass).
I'd play it. I'd just wait for it to drop to $10, unless you feel like $15 is fine.

It's $25 here in Aus.
Definitely isn't worth that, holy crap. Sorry my aussie brothers and sisters, but yeeeeeah. Definitely want to pay less than that.

I know, I'm so stupid, I impulse bought it, hope I don't regret it.
Well who knows, you might enjoy it so much you'll think it was worth $25. I thought for what I got it should've been $10, but an enjoyable $10 I don't regret purchasing.
I paid $15 so I'm not too bothered by the extra cost, but yeah. Wish it was a bit cheaper. Still, said I was gonna take one for the BSN team, so I did.

Incorrect. In another thread, a BioWare employee that was on the writing team for JoH stated unequivocally that it was absolutely NOT cut content from the main game.
Please don't take your opinion and pass it as fact. Let us know it's just an opinion. I'm unhappy with the DLC too (mostly due to the fact that us modders are bummed about our mods not working with it), but fair is fair.
Well, it cost 14.90 euros back here, which is little over 16 dollars I think and to me, worth it. I really liked it, even though it didn't add any LI content. So yeah, I don't regret buying it. I could say more but since this is a spoiler free area...
i think it's basically more of the story - it isn't connected to the main plot, yet filled with lore. the mechanics is pretty much the same as it is in the core game. there are new schematics/cosmetic stuff available.
if you like DAI and it's the best thing since sliced bread, you should definitely get it
if you think DA:I has major design flaws but want to know more about Thedas - you should get it
if you think DA:I is a skyrim clone/singleplayer mmo - don't buy it
if DA:I broke your heart - don't buy the DLC, you'll probably go suicide
So it's no curcial story, but a nice one. The world is interesting and it adds things to the vanilla game. Don't regret it, despite it's even 14,99 € here.
I am one of the terrible fan girls (i. e. I dare to like DAI) and yes, I also liked the DLC. Still I hope, I can give you some worthwhile insight:
As said before, if you liked DAI's style of gameplay, you'll probably like this. If you hated so called "boring maps" and "mmo-style" adventuring, don't waste your money.
The new area is very pretty and more varied than the old areas. I also think, that with this download they show-cased how to really do a main quest series for an area and integrate the sidequests into this main quest line. I wish, they would have done it like this in all the areas in the vanilla game. Crestwood came close, but this is better.
You get a few cutscenes with the main quest, but not too many. You do get interesting conversations with NPCs, but it is again Skyrim style. Still, I enjoyed the new NPCs and also the new lore. The theme of the main quest kept me interested and also the loot is actually good!
There are a few very funny tidbits you can pick up on (letter between the three councelors - I thought it was hillarious etc. or some of the War Table missions you get), but you do have to look around a bit for that.
Opponents were good, several end bosses (I won't spoiler too much), but I thought it was better than the end fight in the Vanilla game.
All in all I spent well over 10 hours with it, but I am a completionist. So for me it was worth it.
I thought it was quite good myself. Bottom line is if you like DAI you will like this DLC, if not save the 15$. I think if all the areas had a well focused story to go along with them (like this one) there would be fewer complaints.

Omega was $29.95
