Hi! I play Inquisition on the Xbox One.

So I've been having problems with the tactical camera not switching to hover over any other character besides the Inquisitor. I can still switch through them with the D-Pad, they are highlighted, and their move sets come up in the corner, but the camera does not shift to focus over that character. I have called tech support to help with this and they said it was happening on the PC as well. We found in one of the Patch notes (Patch 2, I believe) that the camera was changed so it doesn't re-center over other characters.

Is it possible to make that a setting option instead of a straight up "fix"? Because when you're playing as a ranged Inquisitor and your melee characters run off to do their thing in battle, if you can't hover over them, how are you supposed to know where they are or what they are fighting? And you can't go look for them because, if they are beyond the scope of the Inquisitor's camera view, you can't see them.

I know that some people might like it better the new way, but, for those of us who don't, is it possible to make that an optional setting? Please?

Thanks! And keep up the good work!

+1 to it being a toggle option. There are advantages to both systems (which is why they changed it), but not switching locations is very annoying if you're on different elevation, because for some reason you can't just "fall" to the ground with the camera. You have to go all the way around the hill you're on, which is sometimes impossible given the camera's limited range.

I wish Bioware would try to make more innovative fixes. Unfortunately they seem to just opt for the simplest (and least effective) option, which is often overboard. Luckily, I don't use Tac Cam almost ever, but some do.

I've enjoyed having the Tact Cam back and have used it a lot in DAI, which is why I would love for it to go back to the way it was. I've been trying to make due since the patch, but, once I got Jaws of Hakkon this week (which I actually quite enjoyed), I just can't take it anymore. Being unable to switch to my other characters was killing me (and them, since I couldn't find them to get them support) because, I'm an archer, so I need elevation, but, like you pointed out, you have to circle around until you find a slope to get off the cliff. Ugh it was torture.

It needs to be an option, so people can have even more chances to make this awesome game their own on different levels of the play-through.

I've really enjoyed it. It's my first time playing an archer (or a guy) in any game. My Tal-Vashoth archer is awesome!

Archer is really fun, I just wish you could switch to daggers like previous games.

I know! I was thinking about that the other day, how I used to have Leliana do that in DAO. I know you can still have both skill trees open as a rogue, which is nice, but you can't switch in-between during a fight. Regardless, I never realized how nice it is to be able to pick locks haha

No doubt they changed some of its functions -I struggled with it earlier a bit more than normal -still feel removing it altogether is best in favor of tactical behavior assignments!  If modeling sequences are an issue then it is logical to preassign tactics for the system modeling to allow changing weapons.
