Can we just say this? DA:I is the best RPG I have ever played.

You would think that after asking several people to put him on Ignore he would begin to wonder what is wrong with him, rather than everyone else.
Like to remind those that are also on my list; just being thoughtful....

That's similiar to a child which puts its fingers into the ears and sings "lalalalala". Very impressive.
If your opinion is the opinion of the majority, then why is your post/like ratio so low? 16% is way below average on this forum. Food for thought...

I'm sure you are also being thoughtful with condescending eye rolls and belittling several who disagree with you. You also set up arguments and conclusions that don't necessarily follow - like the whole distracting side-argument about bias vs opinion.
IF anything that posters "bias" would have been a bias in favor of trying to like the game, and he ended up not liking it despite his "bias" (whatever...I'm just playing along...) towards his love of Old BioWare. Also if you didn't have your own agenda, you would have read that in retrospect he saw the trend downwards as stating after 2009, not that he was biased against BioWare since 2009. He looked at games with flaws since as hopeful blips on the rAdar and continued to buy BioWare products in hopes of getting a product he liked. He wasn't spending his time and money just so he could prove BioWare isn't the same to him any longer...
You obviously are quite proud of yourself in your posts but all I see is flawed logic again and again. You are not nearly as clever as you think.

I use my experience in game to question other conclusions. My opinion generally is not worth more or less than another, so what some see as bad, I see as adequate and playable (eg; the GUI). But as I have placed in my sig, the DAGARS Award was granted to DAI for controls, so my opinion does not seem to be a lone one. And a large number of reviews praise the writing and storyline, so I am not alone in that either.
Edit: Believe I said informed opinions are worth more than biased and uninformed ones; this also applies to mine both ways. Again, more false conclusions.
As for the rest, again I recommend the Ignore function; seems to help my viewing pleasure. IMO, of course....
I can't even fathom why this game won the DAGERS Award. I'm a PC-Gamer and I have to rely on proper kb+m controls, because the functionality of my left hand is restricted. I'm not able to use a controller (even if I could, I wouldn't). After I managed one playthrough, which took me 130 hours, all I can say is this: DA:I has been a horrendous nightmare to me.

Can I just say this game is the worst game bug & glitch-wise that I've ever played. Both for xbox360 and for xbox one. For several different reasons the game is unplayable in both consoles.

Re-mapping the Options before gameplay helped me, and seemingly aided some others, too. Here is a post seen recently in another thread:
I had the same issue until the last update. (I think it was #6) Then after reading in here and deciding to take the risk, I did some poking around on the Controls and adjusted them so the SPACE bar paused the game, and the TAB key did searches. Those two little adjustments (and the improvements the Bioware team had done) made the game playable for me since that was the moves I was used to for Dragon Age Origin. AND I have been able to enjoy DAI after 5 months of waiting. I still have to use the W button to move forward, and use the mouse for turns -- which leads to fatigue and pain after a while -- but it is playable. I miss the banter by the other members of my party, a lot. That made the exploring and doing much more enjoyable and realistic. I don't like the jumping around that is necessary to get shards or other things in unreachable places -- that, to me, is something aimed at my 16 year old grandson who loves Mario Brothers! And doesn't rally belong in an RPG designed for Keyboard and Mouse. I also really miss the click to move feature, it is much kinder to the hands and made combat easier.
I'm a newbie as far as Forums are concerned, so hope this isn't too long. Mostly I just read others posts and learn from them, but I thought this might help you play, too. This really is a visually beautiful game with lots and lots of side quests (mostly sensible ones that have something to do with the Inquisition). I am a casual senior citizen player, so excessive hack and slash stuff just doesn't appeal to me. I like the characters in DAI as they are all well done and distinctive, like real people. I'm a little put off by all the dragons though. Why in the world would the Inquisitor risk the World just to take on a dragon? Somehow those fights need to fit into the story better.
Basically, while the default settings may not be pleasant, being able to generally set them to specific needs and wishes is recommended. My own POV is that DAI is easier to play than Skyrim, the ME series, and SWTOR, but still could be improved for those with disabilities.

Unfortunately as soon as you strip away the graphics, you have a very under whelming game. I had high hopes for the series (especially after the ME3 rubbish) with DA:I but unfortunately, it is half the game that DA:O was ... I rebooted the game to see what had changed after many months, but I just couldn't bring myself to continue to play, its bland. Fortunately my attention is now focused on several other games that provide a much better level of rpg fun, rpg systems, story telling and challenge (a couple of them may lack the graphical layer, but they make up for it in so many wonderful ways).

i want to see it affect the inner circle!!! i want to see viviennes quiet controlled rage burning hotter with every refugees story of magic being abused. i want to see dorian carefully unconcerned by the dark looks he gets with every step forward the venatori take. cullen and cassandra swearing to do better, be better, every time the inquisition fights the red templars. sera fletching and refletching arrow after arrow with every city that falls wondering if anyone cared to save the servants when they ran. varric forcing a laugh just a little too hard and hiding letters he wished held better news. solas walking the thin line between too concerned and not enough, refusing to let anyone see how much he really cares. josephine putting on a practiced smile and pretending her hand doesnt shake, telling herself over and over shes safe inside the walls. leliana drawing further and further inside herself, wanting back the days when all she had to worry about was a long road with an archdemon at the end. cole running himself ragged trying to help too many and its still not enough, theres always more hurt and haunted and their pain is like a dark cloud over everything and nobody else can even see it. bull showing off new scars and laughing too loud, refusing to let his chargers see him shaken

Thank you for re-posting this. You are right, the grammar of the opening is atrocious and gives a totally wrong impression of the post! It is simply beautiful and yes, I would have loved to see that too. I think, however, that the feelings of terror and loss need to be balanced by humour and the occasional success as well -- something DA:I has too little of, too. Otherwise we just end up with something like Dishonoured, which, while a great game IMO, was simply too depressing to my tastes (that heart... oh god that heart).

From the early video promos and interviews, this game had great potential. Cuts, were made by the Bioware Studio and the final product suffered for it.

That said - I want to see what they do with their living world and I am very much looking forward to player reviews (as opposed to professional ones that probably already have their 10/10 reviews ready to publish after seeing the games Intro...lol). I think BioWare is probably watching as well to see what ideas they can pick up. If they really have 200 hours of interesting content I will be impressed. I just want to see If they will be able to fill their world with more dynamic content or If they will devolve into shard collections that pad hours in the game as you spend an hour trying to figure out how to jump up a mountain.
I really hope they succeed as this would only mean great things for all of us in future RPGs. If not I will lament all the 2015 Game of the Year talk it will get like DAI and will worry about my future interest in the genre. This is coming from someone whose first RPG was Dragon Warrior 1 for the NES. (As an aside, FF 6 and FF 4 are still my all time favorites, if not the best.)

... well the title only states that it's the best RPG the person who opened this thread has ever played. I don't see why not agree with that. I have never played better ones either and I was overwhelmed. Before this, I thought Skyrim had story... not saying that people who like the Skyrim story are wrong, I just played it for other reasons. I read a post that said some people live by the lore of GW2. Not playing that game for story either. Still like it very much. DA:I just made me fall for Dragon Age lore and DAO made my appreciation deeper. Still... I have a special love for DA:I because it's my first RPG that made me really care. Somehow that game just did it for me, but that's just personal taste.
Even I clouded by my rosy feelings have things I would find better if done this or that way, or things that I hope will be even better in the next game. But that's the thing, I'm really hoping for a next game.

I don't know if it's the best RPG I have ever played, but it's definetly not the worst. It's not the worst of the series either and I enjoyed the game tremendously. People are entitled to their opinion and I know that bashing EA/Bioware is "in", but I had a lot of fun. That's all there is to it.

Seriously if a huge (though not necessarily 'expansion-packaged') $20 DLC had this, I would love it.
You want just the Rise? Buy the main game. You okay with experiencing the Fall? Well here you go. 'Enjoy'. Muahahahaha!

DAI is in the 'ok category. Nothing really stands out and the story is meh. So I guess Bioware accomplished what they promised, it's just like Skyrim to me.
