I like DA:I a lot. I liked it from the beginning, but I find I like it better all the time.
It does give me some of that old feeling from BG and DA:O. The magic is back.
I wouldn't be challenged for finding things I don't particularly much appreciate in the game design though.
There's a lot I don't like, a lot of choices by the developers that I find disappointing. In fact if I made a list, it would sound like I hate this game. I don't like the combat. It's just irrelevant and tiresome action nonsense. I don't like the leveling or customization. It succeeds in being both too simple and too bothersome to learn. It's just very uninteresting. The very ugly, messy and confusing UI doesn't help. Speaking of uninteresting, confusing, and painfully awkward, don't get me started on crafting. I'm willing to blame a lot on the consolish UI though, for making it so annoying.
Speaking of UI, the PC interface is a scandal.
...And I've never liked the dialogue wheel, still don't. Or voiced PC.
While I applaud Bioware for bringing back the 'save the world' paradigm, I think they may have overdone the protagonist this time, just a tad, when they have people worshiping the PC.
But you gotta take the bad with the good. Morrowind was one of my favorite games of all time, but I would have no problems making up a similarly long list of things I thought could have been handled better. All games are heavily flawed.
So what do I like about the game? Well, there is actually a fair degree of role playing freedom. Enough. While DA2, for instance, was a pure movie game. And I like the characters and what remains of the gameplay (that I haven't criticized). I have fun when I play it, and I'm engaged.
