I think i remember one of the NPC's saying that the dung of one of the local creatures was good for starting fires... if you didn't mind the smell.

Yes, Harding says this toward the beginning of the DLC. She then recommends it for the siege engines if I recall correctly.

The Imbued Tusket  (the one that provides that tier 4 cunning hide) is difficult to kill, he runs fast and moves like a rodeo bull (can I saddle it? ). It has lots of immunities.

Has a distinctive red color, noticeable even during the night (stumbled on him in the southwest part of Swamp Kuldsdotten).

I can't for the life of me find the final Codex in Mysteries of the Frost Back Basin-

I still need " The True Purpose of the Crater:"

Anyone have any idea where I can find that?

"On a terrace surrounding a Tevinter statue, west of the Frozen Gate"

The "statue" is where used to be (if closed) a fade rift. There is an annex terrace to the squared terrace surrounding the "statue". The codex is on a table on this annex (you have to jump a short wall to access the annexed terrace).

[Edit]

Some screenshots to help (this one was the trickiest one for me too):

Did anyone find this "imbued Tusket"? Searching for two hours now in the swamp area the screenshot suggests.

If you have been in the area before you may have engaged it accidentally during another fight and it may not spawn again.

Edited to add: It spawned again after restarting the game.

The veil torch is for the veil quartz on the ledge. I found the veil quartz before I found the torch, and without the torch it's not possible to take the veil quartz (it won't be interactive at all).

I've heard mention of a new material called Silken Nether Cloth, but haven't found any(not to mention that it totally sounds like fancy lingerie). Also, I saw a screenshot of a war table mission that gives schematics for Ameridan's armor, but I haven't found that either.

This one could be easily missed, so once you go in and plant the Inquisition banner (I think you claimed the place?); just don't leave until you jump up and past the stalagmites to find this hidden chest in a small alcove.

BEST. BOGFISHER. EVER

Imagine my surprise, when slaying this beast got my Qunari warrior the best looking vitaar thus far offered in Inquisition!

Vitaar of the Dragon Hunter makes the Arishok's Vitaar look sad & pathetic (and that ridiculous shard hunt to unlock it in the main game now becomes utterly unnecessary). If nothing else, this alone makes JoH well worth the price of admission.

Anyone done all the Astrariums? Anything worth having from doing them? I hate them enough that I bought the strategy guide just for them in the base game, but since I played the DLC on release day, no solutions were online yet. Yes, I'm weak. I just really, really hate puzzles.

Here is a hint: Say for instance you've not taken the time to collect many (or any) of the dozen Frostback Basin shards. No worries; right!

Let's magine that you're already hip deep into completing this dlc; no problem. However once you've done the twin puzzles that unlock two doors with loot chests inside at the temple where you activate the spires that will ultimately lead you to Ameridan, go ahead and do all of the necessary steps AND THEN BEFORE YOU FOLLOW THOSE STREAMS OF LIGHT; go back down underneath into the sewers and return to the door marked The Mystery of Winter.

Try opening that up!

Iirc it provides the currently best Twohander schematic. I think you should do them. Solutions should be online.

Found some ice dragon remains - gives you more ice dragon bone for crafting.  Top pool of the giant waterfall (directly north of canyon camp) - hidden beneath ledge.  You have to jump down to find.

Does any one know another location for the Veil Quartz deposit?

Looking for the one you marked and found that there are actually two deposits there, one of them in a cliff a level higher and slightly to the NW from the one you marked.

Thank you, Susss.

Map location (the marker is where the deposit is, the arrow is where you must be to make the jump):

So did you find?

Did anyone ever figure out where the "extra door" is. I got just the centre one illuminated and it did the animation/noise but I never found another door! I'm greedy and want more stuff :)

There isn't another door. If you open one door, and then repeat that combination again before you unlock the other door, it does the animation and sound for unlocking the door you already opened.

That doesn't sound like what I'm describing, or what Talok was describing. This is when you have already opened both doors with their specific patterns, then you clear the lights and solve the puzzle with only the middle light illuminated, there is the opening sound/animation, same as when you open the other doors. Makes it seem as if there is another door that has been opened somewhere else, and it's distinctly different from the "reset" sound/animation.

In 3 runs through the puzzle, the tiles all become inactive after I open the second door. What you are experiencing is likely a bug. There is no 3rd puzzle door there, and I could find nothing else there using a detached camera.

Thanks for investigating so thoroughly :) Shame, I thought it was a neat little secret door. Oh well!

I can't find the first codex in the mysteries of the frostback quest. The north of the swampside camp, the old aqueduct. So far all I've seen is northwest of the camp. Can anyone narrow it down a little bit for me please! Thanks!

Have you found any of the shards yet? One of the shards is located in almost the same spot. It's on that broken up aqueduct that has pieces of bridge almost connecting it.

I'm not 100% sure if this qualifies, but here is a repost of my earlier comment - which may be related?

I have no idea if this was just a fluke that I experienced or if this fits the bill, but it worked for me! This door opened right up and I had NOT collected many Basin shards [perhaps 2]; plus I was already wearing the Arishok's Vitaar (so I had already utilized the vanilla games full complement of shards as well).
