As if the Chantry didn't already have a huge hard-on for censoring, omitting and editing history. The Jaws of Hakkon ending have pretty much reached new levels of how ridiculous the Chantry is when it comes to their censoring of lore.

Them censoring Shartan is something I've known for quite a while. Its just that Inquisitor Ameridan's censorship is what really pissed me off more considering how much pain he's been through.

I didn't expect it, but it's not a surprising thing for the Chantry to do. Look what they did to Shartan. I'm sure the Chantry was very eager to erase the fact that the founder of Andrastianism was best friends with an elf who worshiped elven gods and the Maker.

Just make Leliana Divine without completing her personal quest.
Since the event is non mandatory i highly doubt that the Divine will have any impact to the Chantry in the long run.

Er... the entire concept of DAI is based on the reformation of the Chantry. Do you think it's going to be dismantled completely any time soon? 
If it could have happened any time it would have been during the preliminary events of DAI and it almost did. At this point, the faith of the people of Southern Thedas has never been stronger.

I honestly think some sort of overpowered (malicious/oppressive) religion really adds important character, intrigue and drama to a story. I'm a terrible person, I know.

Destroying the institution wouldn't destroy the religion. Even if the central power is cut down, you'd still have chantries in every city and many villages.

This is why I hope they do not repeat this elven thing. I was happy with the darkspawn - mage/templar - tevinter thing.
I hope they make us a wolf hunt DLC where the elven lore are forgotten forever.
Edit = Now it feels like elfs created everything. The fade, the darkspawn, the maker, the spirits, magic, blood-magic, healing-magic, elfroots.. All elven.

I think it would be interesting to see a split in the Chantry. Like how the Catholic faith was split into different factions of sort. Something that isn't like that of the old church.
