Yes, make sure you complete loyalty quests and choose the right people for mission specialist and leader roles in the suicide mission and you get everyone back. Just one detail though, send Mordin back with the crew, for some unknown reason he can still die even if he is loyal if not sent to escort the crew.

Edit: Oh, and do all of the loyalty missions before you go get the Reaper IFF, that way you can do Legion's loyalty and then go straight to the suicide mission and save everyone.

Wait, sunnie, you can do that too? I've played 3 play-throughs and I still haven't been able to save everyone. Doing Legion's loyalty mission then makes me lose Kelly and half the crew. I've kept all my squadmates though. The method I used was posted earlier in the thread. Some people say they can do it, I still can't get it to work.

This. Once you pick Legion up, head straight downstairs and talk to him before you do -anything- else.

The trick is to talk to Legion and DO NOTHING ELSE once he is recovered. Nothing, no upgrades, no leaving the ship, no updating your gear, nothing. Talk to legion, talk to him again, do not let EDI say ANYTHING about the IFF, go to the GM and Sea of Storms, BEFORE ANYTHING about installing the IFF is mentioned. As soon as you go on the shuttle you need to head back, no exceptions, no missions, no nada.

I do it every time (unless I specifically don't want to, because that playthrough requires people to die) ..

Basically after you've done the collector ship mission, TIM tells you about the derelict reaper. At that point, do not go there until you have done everything else. Recruitment, loyalty, everyone (except legion)

Then go to the derelict repeat, pick up legion.

Then go directly down in the elevator and talk to legion. Keep talking to him until he gives up his loyalty mission. You may have to exit the conversation and start talking to him again. But you don't have to move, just re-talk to him in the same spot.

-then- you can go do his loyalty mission and not lose any of the crew.

Raphael, that is the method I use, except when I go to do Legion's loyalty mission, that's when the cutscene starts where the party members get into the shuttle and everybody else gets abducted. I can't actually play the mission since it gets interrupted. So I play as Joker, complete that section but if I go back to actually do Legion's mission (w/o cutscene interruption) then I lose half the crew, otherwise I just go straight to the suicide mission without Legion's loyalty. Is that cutscene supposed to start the mission right after the derelict reaper and interrupt Legion's loyalty mission?

my last playthrough I got the IFF, then did Legion's mission, and then did Tali's mission (with legion) and then got to board the shuttle.

How jerms? I seriously want to analyze the scripts for this part of the game because I have yet to get a chance to do extra missions, nevertheless a mission, after the derelict reaper. Some people are in my boat and some are in yours, there just seems to be no logic on why who is in what boat.

I have finished 4 games and have saved everyone the last three times. The trick is to have every squad member loyal and to have paragon option to settle the argument between trali and Legion following his loyalty mission. I use Garrus as my fire team leader on the suicide mission, Tali as my tech expert to crawl through the vents, Samara to provide the biotic shield against the swarm and Grunt to escort my entire crew back to the Normandy.
This has worked three times and I am planning on doing it the same on my insanity play through I am currently into.
Also, if you avoid pursuing Miranda, Jack and Tali as L.I.s(as a male Shepard), you can then call kelly up to your cabin following the Suicide Mission and get a special treat from your Yeoman....Image IPB

you can only do one mission before going to the collector base (legions loyalty) or else the crew dies. otherwise a bunch of random colonists get melted

In every playthrough I've done I've always done two missions after the Derelict Reaper; Tali's loyalty mission, with Legion along for the ride, and Legion's loyalty mission. I've never lost any of the crew

i saved her and got my own personal exotic dancer out of the deal....lol oh and a fish feeder but she already did that before the final mission

do you do anything else before or after talking to Legion?
i.e. talk to other squadmates, go to your cabin, etc.
or even just standing around

I think if you do anything else to cause the main loading screen to appear more than twice (once going down to the A.I. core & once for returning to the C.I.C. deck) it could increase the chance of triggering the cutscene more often

First time I tried to save everyone and keep everyone loyal:



Do only recruitment and Loyalty missions. Can you do loyalty missions post-game if you kept the character alive? I want to bring Legion to the Migrant Fleet.



After picking up the IFF, go directly to Legion. Get loyalty mission. Go directly to bridge and set course for Legion's mission. Once the IFF is active, you MUST go straight to Omega 4. Otherwise, crew dies. I don't think any colonists ever survive. (You can always use Kasumi if you don't have Legion or Tali loyal.)

the real question is, will the mission stay active, after the suicide one? if it does then read on...

I've never tried this myself, but since you can't get Tali's loyalty before the suicide mission doing this, I would try this:

 first, make sure everyone else is loyal

make sure the Normandy is fully upgraded, have Tali in the squad with you to fight the Oculus (sphere that breaches the cargo area), have Legion do the vents, keep Tali in your squad for the first foot run in the Collector's base, pick the right choices for biotic cover, crew escort, and second fire team leader (make it a good one too cause this where you'll have to seperate from Tali) 
use whoever else is left over that you want for your trio to the final boss

like I said, I've never tried it before, but this is the best plan I can think of

Oh, keeping her alive isn't the problem. Just don't choose her for anything. Kasumi or Legion can take over her part in the vents. I just don't know if Loyalty missions can be activated (or remain active) after the Suicide Mission.

well I don't know for sure if the Wiki is a good enough source of info on the subject, but it did list loyalty missions as part of what you can do after the suicide mission

   I have a question relating to Kelly Chamber's Private dance. Is that a PC exclusive or is it available on the 360 as well? A little about my Shepard, male(not that it matters) Paragon Infiltrator, continuing the LI from ME1(Ashley) so I haven't pursued anyone, I saved the crew of the ship and my team from the suicide. I did notice that when I went to talk to Mordin before the suicide mission he implied, like he normally does when you have a LI, how friendly I was to him and paying more attention to him than the other crew. Kinda funny but I hope this doesn't affect anything. I also noticed that he hasn't done his Gilbert and Sullivan routine either.
   Anyway after the suicide mission and prior to completing everything else I approached Samara which she shot me down as usual, was trying to be friendly to Jack but somehow ended up on the LI track, and Tali expressed her feelings for my Shepard. After completing everything I realized that my Shepard was waning from the true purpose of completing this 3rd or 4th play through, can't remember,
   I effectively ended the LI tracks with both Tali and Jack in which Jack tells to me to * Off and Tali gives me the "I need to calibrate the engines" spiel. I am wondering if my chances on having Kelly dance up in the "Loft" are over due to all the people I've talked to or if I will have to wait for the next DLC in order for new conversations to happen. Any Ideas?

Actually, once you get the IFF, reactivate him BEFORE doing anything else. If you do, then you can do up to TWO missions before EDI triggers the Crew-Kidnap cutscene. I usually do Tali's Loyalty mission followed by Legion's Loyalty mission.



If you try to do more than two after getting the IFF, you will lose crew.
