1  first when morrigan leaves she was weareing my dragon armor. will i get that back when we continue in awakening?  Or do i need to reload and  take it back before the archdemon dies? as well as all the gear she had of mine?

2 and i noticed that afterwards in the hall with anora and   alistar that i had two swords missing the ones i was using the rose one and starfang  will i get those back of should i reload and switch to different swords so those get taken instead.

3 becausa im assuming we wont have to continue being nude  with no gear so some things should carry over right ?

1. I doubt you're going to get a dev to jump in on things like this, but what they *have* said at this point implies that items in your party's inventory at the epilogue save will transfer...so for example if you have the Warden's Keep DLC you have to pull anything you want out of the party chest before you import your save into Awakenings. That tells me that anything Alistair or Morrigan are wearing if they leave is *gone*...so yes, you should plan to replay from before the conversation in Redcliffe. (I metagamed...when I did the "Save Loghain and tell Morrigan to ****** Off" ending, they were both wearing some basic clothing and carrying only low level items just before they left...

2. If you had swords that suddenly went missing, then I'd be concerned--I've not seen that myself and all the reports I've heard of items disappearing seem to have been due to glitched save files.

3,. Good luck getting a dev to comment...I'm just wondering how they'll deal with people importing items created with Winter Forge into Awakening (or maybe they just don't care).

I was wondering the same thing.  I'm gonna loose some good gear are pretty much every character I played.

But it's not different then starting a new character.  So I'm sure they'll have even more better gear anyways.

If the items are on a character other than your PC it will not transfer. It should be in your inventory and not in any storage chest. Yes you need to strip Morrigan of the Dragon Armor.
Cannot help you with the missing swords. You should still have them.
I do not think the devs will be tranfering over modded equipment or if they do it may revert back to the original specifications for the weapon. If it is a completely new weapon you created with a mod it probably will not transfer, but I could be wrong.

I had the same concerns when I played Baldur's Gate 1, because I wanted to "export" my gear for Baldur's Gate 2 together with my character.... so, I overcharged my bags with weapons, armor, potions and much more.
Bioware solved it all by putting my char in prison, so I had to start BG2 naked: problem solved.
Ok, this is an expansion, not a sequel, but I imagine they'll maybe invent some other way to "force" you to start without the 3.000.000.000 golds you have stacked in the main game, so maybe don't concern too much about that... and you'll get new, stronger gear. It's just like World of Warcraft: just keep some gear for "affection", but once you level up and continue adventuring, I'm sure you'll soon find better items.

A better dagger than the Rose's Thorn? Is it possible to make a stronger dagger without being totally OP? ;)

I really hope you can keep what's in your inventory, because with every character I put the items which are most important to my char into my inventory before going to Redcliffe the last time.

It has been stated that we keep our equipment if it's in inventory - but not money.

That's good to know! Being a true Grey Warden I always take all items connected to the Wardens (Wardens Commander Armor, Warden's Tower Shield, Antique Warden Crossbow, the unique items from the Grey Warden Vault and so on) and the items connected to my origin with me. :)

OK I'm confused a little bit two of you mention redcliff but i have access to all party members at the final battle so i can strip them there the ones in my group and the defending the gate switch.   Or do i go to redcliff again after the arch demon is dead.    And i have no modded things its all legit stuff.    And the sword i was wondering because of the kill blow and the cut scene with the sword and all that i might of lost the sword from that .    So your talking about gear should be in the chest inventory or back pack inventory and thanks     And i heard about  the gold not going with us , it dont matter i ended with 12 copper lol.  Because everyone has stuff of mine sten ect ect     And
last one im trying for all 6 ending so i wonder how thats going to go    which save the very last one or will we have a choice of the save    Thats funny devs comming in my thread ya sure never happen and never expect them to

Once you go to Redcliffe after the Landsmeet the game will go straight forward to the final fight.
After the battle you still can access the areas coming with DLCs, including the storage chest, by loading the save "PostCampaign_1".
BUT if DA: Awakening only allows you to import the save "PostCampaign_1" (or does it automatically) you have to put things you want to keep into your inventory before going to Redcliffe after the Landsmeet, because you can reach your storage chest the next time after "PostCampaign_1" is created.
If DA: Awakening allows you to import any save game, then you can go to your storage chest, pick your stuff, save and load this save in DAA. But I doubt that this will be the case.

Yes, that's right. I do it before going to Redcliffe, because at the point when defending the gates there are 2 party members not controlable and also their items are not accessable. And if these 2 members are not dog and Shale they could have items you want to keep.

IIRC, but is buried under hundreds of pages, it has been said that you can import any save from DA:O, not just the Epilogue autosave. Otherwise how would you import DLC items from Return to Ostagar and the like into Awakenings with a char that has completed the main quest.

It was also explicitly said, IIRC, that you would be able to pull out items from the Storage Chest at Soldier's Peak, save and then import that character save.

Yep, word. Your latest save is what is supposed to be used. And all your items are supposed to go along - just not any cash. Otherwise it would be pointless to do dlc after finishing the campaign (getting the good armour and weapons) - and there'd be a lot of unhappy peeps.

Of course, what we've been told and what actually happens might not coincide.

Okay, I found it, the original thread is over 100 pages long so I won't bother with a link:

A post by Ferret A Baudoin of Bioware -

Yay, I can finally talk about what I've been working away at. :)

Some random answers to questions brought up (obviously I can't answer everything):

* Choices in Origins definitely are recognized in the expansion.

* You do import all of your gear from Origins, but not from the chest in
Soldier's Peak. But you can always pull out what you like, save, then
import that save.

* You can't play an Orlesian Grey Warden in Origins.

* Amaranthine is indeed the coastal arling that once belonged to Rendon
Howe. And, of course, everyone will speak with a Jamaican accent. OK,
maybe that last part isn't true. :)

That is there so that you can do dlc even after finishing the main campaign. So when RtO comes out you'll be able to go do that. Or if people have a character who finished the campaign before they got the Stone Prisoner, they can go do that.

And it's set back in time. Congratulations, you're now a time traveller! It's set after Landsmeet and just before going back to Redcliffe - which is why all the companions you had then are there.

Although the codes in the box say they expire April 30, 2010, apparently that wasn't implemented.  A quick Google search let me know that even as recently as a month ago people were still able to redeem them.  I also saw that a few people had trouble getting their codes recognized through the game itself, but entering the code online on this site seemed to work.  Here's the link for entering the code:

http://social.biowar...ge/redeem/en-us

Note: As the page should tell you, make sure you're logged into your account on the site, and make sure you've linked that to your game account (PSN tag, Xbox gamertag, etc.)
