2. If you had swords that suddenly went missing, then I'd be concerned--I've not seen that myself and all the reports I've heard of items disappearing seem to have been due to glitched save files.
3,. Good luck getting a dev to comment...I'm just wondering how they'll deal with people importing items created with Winter Forge into Awakening (or maybe they just don't care).

But it's not different then starting a new character. So I'm sure they'll have even more better gear anyways.

If the items are on a character other than your PC it will not transfer. It should be in your inventory and not in any storage chest. Yes you need to strip Morrigan of the Dragon Armor.
Cannot help you with the missing swords. You should still have them.
I do not think the devs will be tranfering over modded equipment or if they do it may revert back to the original specifications for the weapon. If it is a completely new weapon you created with a mod it probably will not transfer, but I could be wrong.

Bioware solved it all by putting my char in prison, so I had to start BG2 naked: problem solved.
Ok, this is an expansion, not a sequel, but I imagine they'll maybe invent some other way to "force" you to start without the 3.000.000.000 golds you have stacked in the main game, so maybe don't concern too much about that... and you'll get new, stronger gear. It's just like World of Warcraft: just keep some gear for "affection", but once you level up and continue adventuring, I'm sure you'll soon find better items.

I really hope you can keep what's in your inventory, because with every character I put the items which are most important to my char into my inventory before going to Redcliffe the last time.

After the battle you still can access the areas coming with DLCs, including the storage chest, by loading the save "PostCampaign_1".
BUT if DA: Awakening only allows you to import the save "PostCampaign_1" (or does it automatically) you have to put things you want to keep into your inventory before going to Redcliffe after the Landsmeet, because you can reach your storage chest the next time after "PostCampaign_1" is created.
If DA: Awakening allows you to import any save game, then you can go to your storage chest, pick your stuff, save and load this save in DAA. But I doubt that this will be the case.

It was also explicitly said, IIRC, that you would be able to pull out items from the Storage Chest at Soldier's Peak, save and then import that character save.

Of course, what we've been told and what actually happens might not coincide.

A post by Ferret A Baudoin of Bioware -
Yay, I can finally talk about what I've been working away at.
Some random answers to questions brought up (obviously I can't answer everything):
* Choices in Origins definitely are recognized in the expansion.
* You do import all of your gear from Origins, but not from the chest in
Soldier's Peak. But you can always pull out what you like, save, then
import that save.
* You can't play an Orlesian Grey Warden in Origins.
* Amaranthine is indeed the coastal arling that once belonged to Rendon
Howe. And, of course, everyone will speak with a Jamaican accent. OK,
maybe that last part isn't true.

all the representative's and even morrigan So now that i was all clear on everything i totally lost now . either that or morrigan just couldn't stay away from my charming ways .but i think something is really wrong
That is there so that you can do dlc even after finishing the main campaign. So when RtO comes out you'll be able to go do that. Or if people have a character who finished the campaign before they got the Stone Prisoner, they can go do that.
And it's set back in time. Congratulations, you're now a time traveller! It's set after Landsmeet and just before going back to Redcliffe - which is why all the companions you had then are there.

Although the codes in the box say they expire April 30, 2010, apparently that wasn't implemented. A quick Google search let me know that even as recently as a month ago people were still able to redeem them. I also saw that a few people had trouble getting their codes recognized through the game itself, but entering the code online on this site seemed to work. Here's the link for entering the code:Eivez wrote...
